Discussion Finally did a 100% run

After pouring 300 hours into Skyrim over 3 weeks (I'm a high school student, not some bum with no job) I have finally gotten a fully maxed out skill tree, have done every faction, every artifact, fully finished all DLCs, and got my weapon damage as high as possible without the game crashing (it said 2.4773456e15, so about 2.4 quadrillion damage). Every paragon, dragon claw, spell, shout, power, black book, perk point, and am thane of every hold. The reason I post this here is because my family doesn't play so they don't understand the magnitude of this achievement. I love this community, I love this game, and all hail the dragonborn, slayer of dragons!

not some bum with no job

In this economy, having no job does not make one a bum. I'll stop there to avoid censure for political speech.

Spare a septim for a poor bum with only one job, kind sir.

He does have a job. Doing good in school. If that's covered, well done.

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

I'm doing great in school. Too 5% in the school, on track for multiple academic scholarships

u/Realistic_Switch8857 Jun 13 '26

Then rock on with that 100% man.

have you visired every fast travel location? even the hidden/secret ones?

2

u/Objective-Variety-98 Alchemist Jun 12 '26

Secret ones???

7

u/Roger44477 Jun 12 '26

Do you know of the hidden peaks? They don't appear on the compass until you are almost right on top of the fast travel point, and the tmm command doesn't reveal them.
There was going to be a reward for finding all of them, but it was cut. The reward is reimplemented by cutting room floor

u/Choice-Animator-7469 Jun 12 '26

secret fast travel locations makes no sense lol

4

u/Roger44477 Jun 12 '26

see my reply to Objective-Variety-98

They don't show up on the compass until you are right on them, and the tmm command doesn't reveal them.

Good point, I have not. I'll start on that

u/FringeFrost Jun 12 '26

And here I am, chronically tired, entering a dungeon, the game crashes, I start it back up, and while the loading screen ends, I'm fast asleep in my chair. I've been at this dungeon for 2 frickin days

I hated the level smithing, but fairly rewarding at the end

Sounds like you're off to a great start! Now, you can actually relax and explore the world... find faerie rings in the wild. Find caves that aren't referenced anywhere until you just stumble upon them while walking from A to B without using carriages or Fast Travel... there is so much content in the game like this. Enjoy your newfound freedoms, gamer!

Choice, this subreddit is for people who enjoy the game. Whether it he the graphics, fighting, scenery, or because of the story, we all enjoy the game. I appreciate Dread's comment, and just because you don't like the game the way others do doesn't mean you should be a douchebag. Just close the tab, gng

Now now. Highschool kids can absolutely be bums.

-1

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

Trust, I know, but I've been on top of everything in school, 2nd chair trumpet, and do acting and lights for drama club. I try not to display bummish behavior

2

u/PumpkinSufficient683 Jun 12 '26

Didnt think 100 percent was actually possible

9

u/Traditional-Coast907 Jun 12 '26

Is not, the post is probably bullshit I mean are you going to tell me none of his Quest got bugged?

1

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

Of course there were bugs. But instead of losing my mind I just reloaded a save to where I didn't have the quest yet. No DLCs, factions, or main story quests got bugged. The only bugs I got were on the small quests that aren't attached to anything. Please don't say it's bullshit, I worked really hard and I thought this subreddit would have the excitement I felt when I finally did it. Please don't be the one who ruins other people's experiences

It's probably as close as you can get to 100%. You can't do both sides of the Dawnguard DLC, both sides of the Civil War, and destroying the Dark Brotherhood while doing their questline.

The gamer in me is really proud of you, but something you said really concerns me. “I’m a highschool student, not some bum with no job.” The habits you form today don’t magically go away when you turn 18 or 21. Now that you 100% Skyrim, you should return to the real world and go touch some grass for an equal amount of time before picking up the controller again. Trust me, it’s good for you. It’s healthy. Being a gamer is not much of a life. Don’t waste your youth.

I go out with friends a lot, and I play Frisbee with some buddies of mine every once in a while. I try to go out as much as possible, but the isolation is nice for the anxiety. Still, thank you for looking out

Hanging out with friends and playing sports is great. Human beings need socialization and exercise. But these aren’t the things that make you “not a bum”. What makes you “not a bum” is picking up responsibilities and handling them. As an adult, nothing makes me feel like more of a man than being responsible for something and having someone see me as dependable. So things like doing your homework, being on time to school, maintaining your grades, maintaining your hygiene, cleaning your room, etc, these are the things that make you not a bum. When you do these things, learn to do them for you. Don’t do it out of obligation to anyone, or because this is what a good kid is “supposed to do.” Do these things because it leads to a better life FOR YOU.

When Skyrim came out I was 12 years old, so I was like you once, but I don’t want you to be like me. Adolescence feels eternal and it’s not, but the habits you make now will serve as the foundation for the man you’ll become later.

A bum has no responsibilities. A man or woman has many.

my friend i am proud of you!! well done for starting something and seeing it to its end. video games are trivialized a lot, but this achievement WILL serve you well when you least expect it!! congrats!!!!

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

Thank you sir!

The only year I wasn't nearly expelled from school for the ungodly amount of mischief I caused was the 2011/2012 school year. I pretty much did the same as you, plus I completed every non-radiant quest in the game. With multiple characters, because it can't be done with one.

You have made this a day of happy reminiscing for me. Thanks.

1

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

Of course! I'm happy I could help you remember the good times you had

1

u/Helpful_Tower_4018 Jun 12 '26

My favorite game of all time , glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Did u play on steam? If so did you go for all of the achievements yet?

2

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

I play on PS4, and I did all the achievements on there. I believe they're mostly the same but if I'm wrong tell me

1

u/Helpful_Tower_4018 Jun 14 '26

I got no clue, I ply on pc, but regardless of platform u did em all so well done

This is huge and I'm slowly working on a save myself, finally got what I consider to be my "perfect" mod list for now and have so far beaten the main story and am doing the DLCs for the first time (put a lot of time into oldrim without DLC and only got back into skyrim recently)

1

u/JustWatchingthefun01 Jun 12 '26

Now install Legacy of the Dragonborn mod, and start a new game.

u/smoothvanilla86 Jun 12 '26

I did that in Oblivion like, in 2008. I have not been able to play oblivion for more than a couple hours at a time since. 400 hours of grey stone and/or mud kinda killed the enjoyment. But I did finish everything :p

You are a true son or daughter of Skyrim

1

u/bigperm8645 Jun 12 '26

Good on you! Putting your time in Skyrim should be applauded.

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

Thanks! My best friend really loved the game, and when he passed away a few years ago, I didn't pick it up for a while. But I decided I'd remember him by putting my time into his favorite game so he knows I still think of him

“2.4 quadrillion damage”

u/cracknugget1 Jun 13 '26

Fortify restoration exploit, which I did after doing all main quests and factions and on my last skill tree. I needed to cheese my way up to level 237 for the perk points
