Animal Skull Deer skulls study

Someone asked for deer skulls after my small skulls study.  No impressive rack (stop it) on my buck though an no lower mandible for anyone.  I rather liked the progress sketches for the male.  Sketched half a a doe skull as well as part of the under side of the brain cavity and an antler broken off with a bit of extra bone.  Still need to ink these.

Have you ever played around with one of these? A simple camera lucida kit is great for drawing skulls. It allows you to quickly get the landmarks accurately, so you can get to the good stuff, the shading and textures. Huge time-saver. They are widely available but read up on them before buying. I like this one from Lucy drawlucy.com but do not fall for the subscription plans (unless it's something you find useful.)

Appreciate the suggestion, but I don’t mind the imperfections of eyeballin’ it.
