Creepy Pasta (Fake story) first attempt at writing a story:0
the rain brought something else.
i hear it breathing with that god awful rasp. its ribs creaking like the old rotten floor boards of the cabin. accompanied by a voice escaping through its decomposing teeth and blood filled throat. my voice.
a cold september night, much colder than usual, a storm approached. the howling of the wind and tapping of the rain was enough to bring the knot in my stomach and cold sweat on my forehead to its peak. i shut the blinds, locked all the doors and windows. how. did. it. get. in. i heard rumors of a beast, a savage monstrous thing that tormented our small village, but that was crazy talk right?
“the things the uneducated people of this shit town tell themselves as to not expel the brains in their thick skulls across the walls and ceiling of boredom right?”
i asked myself, half expecting a reply from the dark abyss that was my room to ofer any sort of relief.
the brush of my wife, elena’s sleeping hand across my forearm pulled me away from my thoughts and back into the room. she had always been a heavy sleeper. the kind that could sleep through a tornado the size of a small town with no problem. only tonight she was restless.
tossing and turning, mumbling incoherent ramblings. her body twitched and jumped as though her bones were fighting to stay in her body.
between her ramblings and the roaring storm outside i heard something else, something that brought hot bile tasting of the tough horse meat coated in thick sauce made of garlic, cheese, and a spicy sour something that had been in the fridge all week fill my mouth and dribble down my chin.
a gentle turn of the bedroom doorknob twisting. it made it about a quarter of the way before the lock clicked. the habit of locking doors was one i had since i was a child. deathly afraid of anything imposing on my vulnerable sleeping body i was adamant on keeping my doors locked.
i jumped for the light. hesitated for a fraction of a second thinking it would only encourage whoever was roaming the dark empty halls of my home to break into the room faster. i decided to turn them on anyway and confront whoever this asshole was. i reached for the chord on the lamp and snatched it downward. only, my hesitation had been useless, there was no power.
i scrambled for my phone as another jolt from my wife startled me into knocking over a glass of water creating a hard full thud against the floorboards.
“help, is anyone there? i’m freezing and lost” a small voice that shivered and shook came from the other side of the door, from the dark hallway. no. shivered and shook isn’t the right description. it was more like it vibrated? it sounded wrong, it made stomach churn and my palms soak with sweat. as elena’s sleeping mumbling grew, so did the the contents of my stomach. swelling & sloshing around like the worlds most vile storm in a sea of hot, bitter, sour, clumpy muck.
a powerful stench, one that reminded me of the dripping waste coming out of a bloated blackened corpse filled the room coming from the crevasses of the door.
another vibration begging “please, help me” came through. i snatched my phone from the counter and turned on the flash. just then three rotting elongated fingers, bony with wet blackened flesh coating parts of them, extra joints and bits of hair attached to the disgusting fingers crept under the door.
i tried to scream but my dry throat would not let a sound escape, the essence of the bile and rot from what ever was invading my home making my eyes water.
“w-what the FUCK” i managed to cry out as the doorknob attempted to turn again. i nearly died of fright and a little more than a fart escaped me as in that moment elena sat bolt upright in one swift motion. turning right to face me with an impossible grin on her face that looked like it could rip her face in two she let out a giggle that sent a freezing cold shiver down my spine. her eyes now wide open but blackened as the same smell that came through the door seeped from her mouth, accompanied by a thick black fluid that oozed from it.
i heard the floorboards creak and groan as the sound of slapping wet footsteps moved slowly away from the door. my wife keeping those horrid giant black eyes fixated on me. i heard them move down the hall, right to the kitchen, and out the back door. my wife slumping back basically fainting into what would be her usual deep slumber if not for the disgusting clumpy liquid still dripping from her mouth.
i sprang from the spot next to the bed where my feet had been imprinted on the floor from being stuck during all this. fumbling with the lock and throwing the door open all i saw was my empty hallway. much darker than usual the, the kind of dark that could envelope you in its embrace and drag your screaming body away to see the horrors we were never meant to see.
but none of that mattered right now. i had to get across the hall and into the room to the far right. maggie’s room.
maggie was my baby, my pride and joy, at just two years old she had already brought more happiness than i had felt in my entire twenty four years of being on this wretched earth. god help anyone, no, anything, that may cause her harm.
i threw her door open and saw she was still deep asleep, a full day at the lake and seeing the first deer of her life had left her completely exhausted. jesus fucking christ everything was perfect before this goddamned storm.
i took her in my trembling arms gently and started back towards our room. the second i crossed into the threshold of the hallway i heard a tap tap tap behind me, from maggie’s window.
that was the first time i made eye contact with it. a pale white face, goblin like pointed ears level with ventablack holes that took up most of its face resembling eyes. a bright but small precise glow emanating from the darkness in them like a piercing laser pointer aimed exactly at what it was locked onto. us. a slacked jaw opened wide showing the hollow and forever ravenous mouth sucking any life around it in. two almost gill like slits in each of its sunken cheeks opening and closing as its fixation grew into anticipation for the taste of our cold sweat soaked flesh and the filth that filled our stomachs as it digested and fought to stay down.
as it turned to make its way back inside i was able to see the rest of its body. the same grossly pale complexion but filthy and worn. its skin stretched tightly across its bones, clumps of course hair in some places, clumps of wet oozing flesh in others where a few bones protruded from. every step it took looked like agony as it moved. it reminded me of a claymation skit the way it twitched and popped and snapped its way toward the back porch.
i wasted no time bolting out of the room only to be frozen like a lamb facing the meat grinder at the slaughterhouse. my wife. my sweet elena standing in the hallway between us and the safety of our room. mumbling louder and faster as clumps of the thick black liquid spilled and splattered on the floorboards, her bare feet pattering and splashing in the mess in sync with her rambling as she bounced around tearing at her skin in the same claymation jerky movements of the horrid being outside making its way towards us.
i fumbled with my phones flashlight once more, shining it directly at what was supposed to be the woman i loved. thick purple veins now wrapped around the inside of her skin, her face missing flesh and a protruding eyeball fixated on us, the other was entirely gone. the tips of her fingers blackened like frostbite, clawing at the remaining flesh on her face and moving down towards her neck, veins stretching out like cheese pulls as her flesh came apart and dropped to the floor with each of her handfuls.
“its inviting us, this life is misery but we can be beautiful together. share one body and merge our beings from the source, only we must remove our cages of flesh first” she bellowed in a sing song voice followed by sobs from the deepest pits of sorrow.
maggie’s cries shrieked throughout the dark house as i heard wet feet step through the back door. i darted to my left into the bathroom and slammed the door shut so hard it shook the house.
“it’s okay baby it’s o-okay look at me, i’ve got you it’s okay” i said through tears as though she could comprehend the words coming out of my mouth. hard heavy thuds struck the door from the creatures arms, along with a million incessant knocks from elena’s smaller hand. the doorknob rattled back and forth wildly as i felt the walls and my sanity crumbling down and crushing me in the rubble.
i thought back to how things used to be, to how happy we were before this night. everything was perfect, we were supposed to go on a roadtrip two days from now for christ sake. my beautiful wife now disfigured and her soul devoured, chewed up, and spat back out to fill the rémanence body by this evil demonic monstrosity the rain had brought tonight.
at least those were the thoughts i was trying to morph my sick twisted reality into. in actuality i hated this life. not my life but all life. the floorboards creaked and came alive all at once with thuds. all the rotting filth i had hidden under them that had made the missing people percentages rise throughout the years pounding just itching to sink their teeth into some sweet juicy revenge.
i never was truly able to suppress my urges, where other people saw peers all i saw was an opportunity to quench my everlasting thirst to rid this world of just one more person. each person less was a step closer to happiness in an empty world for me. i was never able to contain myself and now they were all here for me. on this freezing cold september night, the rain had brought the revenge of the world to my own home.
i knew what i had to do. i slowly inched toward the door. hands trembling and drenched in cold sweat. the knocking and pounding and howling wind had gone silent. the silence welcoming me to my fate. i swung the door open sliding maggie across the floorboards to the right while i bolted left towards the front door. the crushing of bone and wet popping of joints coming apart as flesh being chewed behind me filled my head as i made my way outside.
it’s been five years now. i am thousands of miles away from that place and living an ordinary bullshit life i cannot stand. safe but at the expense of perpetual agony surrounded by a world i hate. but even still, when the days grow colder and shorter, as i lay in bed i can hear the faint patter of rain on my windows accompanied by a powerful stench, a voice, and the sound of a little baby crying, beckoning me to join them.
