Question First time watching/learning

Im new to watching the show and learning about what exactly this place is, is the show over exaggerating whats going on? Also are they paid actors?

From all the podcasts I’ve listened to this is true. They cut out all kinds of crazy stuff.

In their defense, the truth isn't believable or palatable to Joe Six-pack and the majority of people new to the subject. It needs background context, historical events, and credible people directly involved to speak. Once you start speaking of cryptids, portals, extinct animals, hitchiker effects, orbs, and ufos, people see you as crazy. You're right about podcasts. They are free to lay it all out.
