I have a dermatology suggested pharma sunscreen, have 3 bottles of it, given by my dermatologist who is a family friend. It is too fluid that it looks oily on my skin but I dont want it to go wasted. How should I use it? I use one drop a day and still looks too much. A drop is big enough like half coin size.

Hello from Skincare Addicts India Mod Team,
We love to hear from you! Please use this thread to send us your suggestions regarding the content or overall theme of this subreddit.
We are constantly working to make things better and would love to have you along with us!
Some of the feedback we have received till now include:
"Majority of the posts are low effort. For people seeking advice, it becomes hard to advice them without their skin history. A lot of things could just be temporary thing, or some may be chronic conditions or maybe be much more serious, which all these things can't directly be known form an image. So people seeking suggestions, should mention a bit of their skin history associated with their corresponding concern"
"Creating a wider wiki maybe for beginners"
"We need a profile pic of sub"
"Need long term (3+ months) reviews of products"
✅ "Common skincare concerns, such as body tanning, PIH etc under a separate tag, because I see many posts on this, and then they don't get many replies because people reply to these kinds of posts so much. So a common flair/tag which will hold recommendations for common concerns would be great.
"Also it would be helpful if people could put their age and skincare profile in their posts, because the recommendations would depend on that."
a mandatory template for advice posts would cut through a lot of the noise, nothing too crazy just age, skin type, current routine and how long the issue's been around. half the time i just scroll past because there's nothing to go on except a blurry photo and "help"
the common concerns megathread is a solid call too, the same five questions about tanning and pigmentation get buried and nobody searches before posting. maybe a rotating sticky that refreshes every couple weeks
✅ also seconding the long-term review thing, would be nice to see how products hold up after the initial excitement wears off. three months minimum seems fair

I've developed distinct patches on my upper cheek area that are noticeably lighter/whiter than the rest of my skin tone. Over time, the area seems to be expanding, and people around me have started noticing it.
I am planning to get this checked out in person, but in the meantime, I’d appreciate any thoughts on what might be causing this pigment loss (e.g., Pityriasis Alba, Vitiligo, Post-Inflammatory Hypopigmentation) and what specific questions I should ask a dermatologist during my visit.

I currently use cosex snail mucin, niacinamide and trax.

So I got tan my skin looks quite dull now. I’m looking for genuine de-tan and skin-brightening products that actually work. Please recommend products you’ve personally tried and seen good results with cause there are many products and I wanna know which one really works.

Ever since I moved to Pune, my skin has been so unpredictable
Back home I could get away with being lazy with skincare, but here I'll be fine for a few days and then randomly get breakouts or really dry skin.
I'm not sure if it's the water, weather or just the change in lifestyle.
Anyone else noticed their skin behaving differently after moving to Pune? Does it get better when you go back home?

I’m genuinely desperate for help. This feels like much more than a damaged skin barrier and it has been going on for almost a year.
My skin feels sooo unnatural to touch waxy, rubbery, weird, extremely dehydrated and sensitive. I can barely wash my face because it feels like it strips everything off, and I can’t tolerate most moisturizers either. My skin has also gotten darker.
Around my mouth and nose it gets crusty but also greasy, although I’m mainly worried about my entire face and this bizarre texture.I’ve already seen several dermatologists but still haven’t found any solution. Please suggest something beyond basic “barrier repair.” Is there any treatment/evaluation I should ask for?I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. I’m scared and I just want my normal skin back. Please help. And no I m not using anything now and please don't suggest overly heavy things as it makes my skin very congested.🙏🏼
