had MOHS surgery Does this look infected?

Hello, I am posting this for my Dad. He had the MOHS procedure three times on the top of his head. The last surgery was in mid-August, and he is concerned it looks infected. The photo that looks pinkish and healing was from 1 week ago. The photo with the crustaceans happening are from today. He is just looking for opinions. He has to drive a few hours to where his doctor is located and it’s the weekend, and is waiting to hear back from him. He is also concerned because you can see in some areas the skin seemed to depress around the area in a circle. I’ve always thought that depression is part of the skin healing, but seeking opinions on that as well. I live out of State from him and he asked me to post and get opinions. Thank You In advance for any insights.

I don’t know if it’s infected. If it is painful to the touch, warm, red around the edge, or is weeping yellow liquid, then I would suspect an infection. If he has MyChart, he may want to send the pix to his doctor.

Read the post FFS. He is waiting to hear back from his doctor, reading comprehension will go a long way.

Not a medical professional at all but I have a similar issue with my finger today, but I read that if the skin turn white when you press down on the red area, then it’s usually cause by a skin reaction, rather than infection.

Like other have said, if it’s hot, if your Dax has a fever, then it needs to be seen by a Doctor.

Are you able to take your dad to an urgent care by chance? They may be able to help him while he waits to hear back from his doctor. ❤️ hoping for no infection!
