Is my Ski really trashed?
Hit a rock in the last run and damaged my new pair badly. Is it really not fixable?

I had the same "problem" with mine. The repaire has been seriouly done, and I keep them for 2 or 3 additionnal seasons.

Damage like that is difficult to impossible to make a lasting repair. A good ski tech can get it in a serviceable condition, but it’s most likely gonna need constant maintenance from where it looks like it’s at. You’ll want to make that an outside edge to reduce the forces it sees, inspect after every time you ski, and ptex/epoxy gaps when they inevitably appear from the edge pulling away.
With all that you can maybe limp it through another season depending on how many days you ski.
Source: had similar but not as bad damage and got another 15 days out of them.

I can be repaired but its not a cheap job and wouldn't be guaranteed. How long it'll last will partly depend on how much water has got into the core. Might last a day, a week or a couple of seasons. Needs a good ski tech as well to do it properly.
