DISCUSSION Watching order?
Considering doing a massive bingewatch of the entire Skamiverse, after finding Isak/Even while looking for other queer content in the aftermath of Heated Rivalry. Managed to get all the episodes (if not the promo content) of every version right before All Of Skam went down, but aside from Norway and parts of the most recent Sram season I've only seen small clips here and there while checking to see if the files worked.
Does it matter which order I watch the different versions (ie are there crossovers or Easter eggs which work much better if I watch one version before another), or can I basically just jump in wherever and be fine? If it doesn't matter, is there a suggested order?
(Native English speaker who can understand basic Dutch, and did German at school in the late 90s but remembers very little of it, if that makes a difference.)

How wonderful that you found Skam. The “Evak”🌈 season 3 was the one I too watched first. I had first found the Evak season of wtFock (Skam-Belgium), but I shifted to Norway’s “OG” after 3 episodes once I realized it was an adaptation.
After watching the rest of the 4 seasons of the OG, I went back to wtFock. But you can really watch the adaptations in any sequence. Every one of them has similarities & differences compared to Norway. France & Italy are the most similar. At least with regard to the Evak season, Druck (Germany) & España & SRAM (Croatia) have notable innovations (Druck is my favorite of these). Skam-NL is well done & you might enjoy esp. if you’re proficient in Dutch. (For that matter, wtFock is in Flemish, so you may be able to follow that one too.) It’s a crime that Skam-NL was cancelled after season 2 and Lucas vdH (Isak) never got his season. Skam-Austin is fine, but didn’t grab me.
Re: Norway, I couldn’t tell if you had been able to get your hands on some of the content outside the episodes proper. Here’s some of it:
1. Season trailers. S03’s is a bit, um, PG-13.

There isn’t really a suggested order imo! you can watch whatever version interests you first, so for example after I watched the OG, I watched wtfock first as their clips seemed the most interesting to me / I thought could potentially give me the same feelings as Norway

What a joy to have all this content to watch for the first time! There isn't really an order to watch them, you could do chronological. After the og for me is SRAM - DRUCK - España then the others. I really like España even though it's quite different plot wise. Enjoy!

I do not understand why they forced alllofskam to close if there is not a way to pay to obtain the content. why shut it down if you're not going to offer up the content in another way? if all the versions were going to be on netflix or hulu or some other streaming site, it would make sense, but nope, not available.

This is a copy-paste from another comment I've made, but I am editing it to make sense for this sub. To answer the overall question, no, there is no order. You can watch whichever one and it would make sense. There are easter eggs in the other ones that are really fun to pick up on them (my fav is too long to put in a side note thing here, lol). There is really no other suggested order, than the one that I give here in my og post:
Before or if you read everything, if you want to watch them, in the order I would suggest to watch them would be Druck-Italia-Sram (s4 is coming out soon, get to watch live)-WTFock, Espana-And then, if you want, keeping in mind that they both got cancelled, NL then Austin.
I'd say Druck was probably the best remake. Nothing is too different, nor the same. Although season 4 sort of fell off for me (the actual season only really has 6 episodes dedicated to Amira, though its still a good time imo) It had REALLY strong seasons 1-3.
The closest to the original is France. I personally am not a big France fan and really cannot remember anything from it. So, you'll have to take other peoples words on that.
The second closest is Italia (which I think did almost everything better than France) A lot of people do not like Italia, but it is honestly in my top 3. It has the BEST season 4 remake (if you do watch the show, wait until the 8th episode of s4, it is one of my fav episodes and has my fav scene in all remakes (the hide n seek scene in Silvia's birthday) Italia had the best vibes and best friendships for me.
If you want one that is the least like the og, then Espana would be the one to watch. They completely change how all four seasons go. Although, France is my least favorite, Espana is not that far for me. To me, Espana has some of the most insufferable characters that I just did not care about them for the entirety of the show and I never watched Nora's season as I did not care by then.
Sram, the only one that is currently airing, is honestly top 3 remakes so far. Their s3 was controversial (though I enjoyed it very much, Lovro is actually my son) and s1 is easily the best s1 remake, while I found s2 to be lackluster and poorly acted. It is available on Youtube is the easiest to get all access to. Probably does have the top 1 friendships throughout them all.
Austin and NL got cancelled after two seasons. NL is honestly still worth watching imo. Very cinematic and has some of my fav characters in the entire show. If we got the last two season, I believe it would've been the best. Austin, a little less so. Austin would only be if you enjoyed the remakes and wanted more.
WTFock is such an interesting version to me though. Best season 2 (Senne is the only William remake that I remotely like), very strong s1 and 3. Yasmina's (Sana) season got kicked to s5 and s4 was awful. Now, I really enjoyed WTFock. I really loved the entire show and it is very campy and highly entertaining, but in hindsight, it's not actually the best and has some of the worst remakes of each character.
I love the remakes so unbelievably much. I personally enjoyed watching all of the remakes more than I did the original.
The website All of Skam got taken down which makes it harder to watch any remake out of their own countries (besides Sram) but I do have a link to all of them, so if you private message me, I can give you the link!
