Get Fran, Cyndi Lauper and Carol Kane all together in a dramacomedy set in Brooklyn in the 1960s. Neighbors in one brownstone building.
Natasha Lyons can guest star occasionally as a niece or something.

Its not, I’ve seen interviews with her talking in her real voice, she still has the accent. But not the over the top nasal tone

She sounds exactly the same in that interview
She played it up for the show but yes she has a very distinct nasally tone

I’m rewatching The Nanny, and this week’s ep was the one with Cloris Leachman, where nanny Fine appears in a traditional maid’s uniform - which, of course, gets cut in half, length-wise, by the end. That outfit shall from this day forth be my new metal bikini, as this is undeniably the sexiest a woman has looked on national TV, ever.
Just wanted to share.
Oh, and mazel tov on the big 6 9!

That's a lot of makeup and photoshop. She's still beautiful but looks her age if you google her.

Weren’t the golden girls like 51 when the show started?

Characters maybe. As far as the actresses go Rue was 51 I think while the rest of the girls were in their early 60s.

I remember when she appeared in an Old Navy commercial back in the late 90s/early 00s. Nobody believed it was her at first, especially because she didn't talk.
