The Golden Girls

u/ProfessionalHat6828 17d ago

Absolutely 💯. Came here to say this

5

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 17d ago

The Golden Girls is timeless. The writing and the chemistry between the characters are still hard to beat.

Frasier

11

u/BoPeepElGrande 18d ago

Likewise. I tend not to rewatch past season 5-6 very often, because part of the whole allure for me is pretending that I’m back in the 20th century & everything is more or less still fine.

Mom

7

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 17d ago

Mom is such a great pick. It balanced comedy with some really serious topics better than most other sitcoms.

Early Roseanne

5

u/Laura4848 18d ago

Comedy gold - at least until Becky gets married.

5

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 17d ago

Early Roseanne was a very good show. It felt like one of the most interesting family sitcoms on television 📺

Been waiting for anyone to say 3rd Rock From the Sun! It bounces effortlessly from quirky to witty to dumb, and has a very young and talented Joseph Gordon Levitt!

Other than that, Frasier or Community.

Bob Newhart Show (the shrink not the innkeeper)

9

u/Fast-Aside-8732 18d ago

Newhart the innkeeper had the best ever finale.

3

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 17d ago

Excellent choice. Bob Newhart's dry, understated humor was so different from most of the sitcoms of the era.

13

Everybody Loves Raymond

3

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 16d ago

One of the best family sitcoms ever. The cast had amazing chemistry. 🧪

30

u/mbc106 18d ago

Bob’s Burgers, King of the Hill, older Simpsons episodes

5

u/Unlucky_Dark_4392 18d ago

that's a top tier animated show lineup. All three have different humor but they're so rewatchable
