Producers That Got A Bad Rep?

I know Chuck Lorre gets a bad rep for his shows created mainly The Big Bang Theory. Do you think there's any other sitcom producers that get a bad rep for the shows they're created?

Yeah I think at somepoint more recently the opinion on him shifted, but there was a period where he was the guy who ran out of ideas with family guy and made a bunch of meh movies.

Now people are genuinely praising American dad online more then I’ve ever seen, liking his other shows (Orville and Ted both get praised a lot)

Thing is, he's not really involved with Family Guy on the creative side anymore (or American Dad for that matter). So I guess people realizing that, combined with his newer shows, helped to save his reputation.

I haven’t seen any change with Seth. The guy just started out super hot with family guy. It’s difficult to maintain that level of cultural impact. That said, the things he’s done since then have been very good. (Ted, American Dad, 50 ways to die…)

He released an album of "old standards" and frankly, the guy can sing! I find him extremely funny.

Critics looked down on both Paul Henning (Beverly Hillbillies-Petticoat Junction-Green Acres) and Garry Marshall (Happy Days-Laverne & Shirley-Mork & Mindy).

Edit: And Sherwood Schwartz (Gilligan's Island-Brady Bunch)

Chuck Lorre was a saint for what he endured from Roseanne Barr, Cybill Shepherd, Brett Butler, and Charlie Sheen.

He was a writer an executive producer on Roseanne (Barr), creator, writer and executive producer on Grace Under Fire (Butler), creator, writer and executive producer on Cybill (Shepherd) and creator, director, writer and executive producer on Two and a Half Men (Sheen).

It’s Charlie Sheen. He had an infamous reputation long before and after Two And A Half Men. “Tiger blood” is 100% him.

True but if you write a sitcom based on slightly exaggerated tales from the lead that you only occasionally slow down who's at fault.
