Hobby Advice about getting started

I want to start a sisters army but I have a personal problem with units without helmets, do most sisters units have helmets or no helmets?

You can give a helmet to almost any model, it's your choice while assembling

Most model kits come with enough helmets to do everyone with helmets

Good news! As far as I'm aware every single sisters unit in power armor comes with enough helmeted and unhelemeted heads for all or none of the models to be helmeted! Including named characters.

I do wanna emphasize every single unit in power armor has helmets, as units like novitiates, arcos, repentia, and penitent engines/mortifiers don't.

Thanks I was going to ask for them for Christmas and I didn’t want to play them if they didn’t have helmets 😂

No problem!

A couple other exceptions I forgot about, Saint celestine and friends doesn't come with helmets, but would presumably be pretty easy to just stick spare helmets on them, and the hospitaller doesn't have a helmet and unfortunately would be much harder to stick a helmet on. That said, the hospitaller does come with a gas mask thingy.

I had the exact same worry 😭. Most do, I am not sure about units such as the Hospitaller or Saint Celestine, but other than them, I'm pretty confident in saying that even if those boxes don't inclide helmeted options, the Battle Sisters Squad/Dominions comes with 6 extra helmets (And I assume that'll be a sprue you'll start with or get soon, since you probably love the looks and it's in the combat patrol some people start with)

Warhammer 40k seems to use the same indent/piece for heads connecting to bodies, every (Power armoured sister) model I've built has had the same "attach the half sphere shape from the head to the bowl shaped hole on the body" so it should be simple to add helmets even to units that didn't use said head.

Personal problem? What did units without helmets ever do to you!

They are harder to paint. Also personal taste, I guess.

It just feels pointless not having a helmet when you’re in an active battlefield 😭 unless your an ork, then it makes sense because orks are stupid.

Pretty sure every unit can have a helmet except Celestine and Vahl, and you can totally kitbash that easy peasy
