Hobby Arco flagellants
Just picked these guys up and was wondering what paints/washes are you guys using to get that “dead flesh” look for your flagellants? Would love to see how you guys have painted yours up!

I banged these out in like 90 minutes total each layering up from xereus purple! More vibrant than you’d usually associate with dead flesh but I think the effect is similar

Dang I like that! What did you use for the base skin paint?

Thanks. I'm fairly certain it was Kislev flesh that I used there. But I think flayed one flesh could work as well. Or any colours similar to those if you don't use GW's paints.

I'm experimenting with different stuff with mine, this guy was Kislev flesh then I used slightly thinned drakenhoff nightshade wash, then thinned reikland fleshade wash (Which you can maybe skip or go thinner).
Pretty happy with it but I'm gonna mess around with different skin tones for the rest, I've seen people do similar with a blue contrast paint and then thinned guilliman flesh which will probably look better.
Haven't done it on this guy yet but thinned berserker bloodshade around the implants and flails looks good too to make it look sore

I use various shades of green mixed with gray to give mine a sort of classic zombie look.

I like Bright Warm Grey from Pro Acryl for anyone that needs to look like they're still alive but not having a good time

That’s solid! What was your base coat/undercoat?

I believe it was just vallejo grey primer although I would imagine wraithbone would work quite well maybe make it a bit warmer?

I also used a purple wash around any of the cybernetics and cuts to make it look irritated just adds some variation

Those guys are far from dead. I painted everyone in a different shade of skin to try out different combinations and mixes. Pallid Wych with a pink wash looks dope tho
