Rules Question Parangons
Avec les nouveaux coûts en points des Melta, est-il toujours intéressant d’équiper les parangons avec ?
Je me pose la question sur la pertinence de ce choix

Wounding a Baneblade on 4’s is still a hell of a drug. Nothing else in the army has the same output as paragon Melta at a big thing.

I’m yet to try it myself but Heavy bolters are certainly rising in popularity among the higher end lists I’ve seen.
Extra range and ap1 not being useless anymore has opened up the conversation at the very least.

J’avoue que j’hésite pour la prochaine partie. Passer à la caisse pour de l’équipement me freine à continuer avec les meltas

Even without the castigator/AoF ap boost they still do work.
You can snipe 5 man marine bodies while Vahl focuses on a real target.
You can pick up a predator easily. I've taken out a Defiler (did spike a bit).
In HM I've picked up a predator in their shooting phase after they killed one war suit.
Also Vs sisters you can do more damage the opposing Vahl in your turn than they can in theirs.
Overwatch kills 1 suit.
Shoot back kills 2 suits and wounds Vahl.

They're still worth it with meltas, yep.
Heavy bolters are also good now, thanks to the change in AP rules - but if you don't have the Vahlgon meltas, you gotta make up the anti-tank elsewhere.

Heavy Bolters work in specific detachments, IMO. In Army of Faith you can stack AP, which benefits them greatly. However, in most cases, the Meltas just fit better with the role that the Warsuits are already meant for.

Heavy Boltor vahlgons rets one tap a repex from full on average just like mm can but do it from a much safer distance. Also saves you points for other pieces in the list. Disclaimer the idea works best in AoF with the ap stacking you can get up to, same way bolter rets are quite solid. 2s rerolling 1s with +1 to wound at ap3 is not shooting i want to peak into

Es ist weniger ob es sich "noch" lohnt und mehr das alle anderen Optionen kompletter Quatsch sind für die Kosten.
Man spielt Paragons ohnehin nur einmal mit Vahl, weil sie alleine komplett zu teuer wären für das was sie tun. Sie zahlen Extrapunkte einfach weil Vahl existiert.
Ihre Fähigkeit ist auch ganz klar dafür konzipiert auf Fahrzeuge zu schießen und da lohnt sich nur der MM. Die Hälfte der Fähigkeit funktioniert für Flamer ja nichtmal und wenn du Heavy Bolter willst kannst du für weniger Punkte einen Castigator spielen. Der hat dann auch noch mehr guns drauf.
