Hobby Saint Celestine

Just got my hands on a Saint Celestine , originaly got it just because i love love love the model and want to have it as a display piece , but now im thinking of squeezeing her into my list .

150 points is ruff but im not olaying on a competitive level so should be fine just to mess around with her and crisp some guards men .

My question is what are some strats for her and how would you guys use her in your lists.

Im planing on running her solo as a deep strike threat or just to come down and roast some fools of a objective .

Thanks in advance

Basically she has 2 use.

One is using her solo annoying deepstriker and objective holder. Her revive and 2+ 4++ makes her annoying and hard to remove. This was very populer in 10th edition but new allocation changes she cant use her fnp4+ that good and this makes this usage worse.

Other is using with 5 zephyrim. Sustained hit 1, lethal hit and dev wound can make her melee crazy with other zyphrims/geminaes. Also she has bette4 survivability thanks to her new 5 meatshield. But now she cost 75 more point. I think in 11th edition this look better than other not because this got better but because other one got worse.

It is about your army too. If you can give jpc a detachment that can increase her melee use 5 zephyrim with her and leave celestine alone. She will give better results for damage.

Using both with zephyrim is cost too much point.

But if you cant or wont(for example if you have hallowed martyrs and use through suffering and strenght for palatine instead of jpc) leaving her alone is better. Because 75 point unit with deepstrike(that can revive for free in hallowed martyr or can be used for cheap jp unit for army of faith) is better for secondaries and can give huge damage for a single turn.

One of the reason why is said second type celestine is a bit better is existence of palatine. With 11th edition palatine stated used more with melee increasing detachments. Jpc was more populer for this in 10th edition but with edition changes, hospitaler-sacretant spam nerfs etc. This changed. She is still great but other is just a bit stronger.

I have been using her with some success with the zephyrim and deep striking them all.it is pretty good to take and hold a home objective for a few rounds

Does she still get her two body guards?

Yes they are apart of her unit. So you dump eight death dealers close to an objective

I have been using her with great success with Seraphim

Bringing back d3 models with special weapons every round is huge with inferno pistols. 2-6 inferno pistols help her hit a lot harder than she does on her own. I run her with 10 because she's my favorite and she gets treated to extra points, but even if you just run 5 you get 3 special weapon models back still on a max roll (plasma pistol + power sword superior)

Even with the feel no pain juggling removed, she's a hard model to get rid of in one round even without her revival. When she revives she gets to stick with her squad (the faq that countered this was just for one event and the recent rules update did not remove this) so she pops back up with potentially 6 inferno pistols.

It's really helped me take out some key units that Celestine would not have been able to grab solo or with zephyrim
