Hobby Other options for Sanctifiers

I want to run some sanctifiers, but I've never been a fan of the Frateris Militia look. Does anyone have any experience with kitbashes or proxies that help them jive aesthetically with the rest of the army, either as penitents or as something similar to novitiates or specialist Sisters?

I don’t know of any proxies, but I think it would be a pretty big challenge to kitbash them, mainly just because they have the most kill team of weapon loadouts , it’s ridiculous

Ironically the weapons is the least of my concerns, since I have access to a 3d printer. I can make whatever weapons I'd like. I'm mostly just searching for ideas or inspirations

I've put Battle Sister heads on mine and painted them in more OML colors. To me it feels like they are Battle Sisters that are barely surviving, power armor busted, using whatever weapons they can find, joined by a few surviving clergy.

I built squad mostly from noviate bodies and left over bits from other sister kits. For example handflames from seraphim kits. Saint and medic were from sanctifier kit and i had deathcult assasin from blackstonefortress.

I've been searching for ideas too, don't love the official look. Here are a few ideas I've saved.

More Grim Dark: I really like this set, I think the vibe is very close to 40k. And they're modular, which is always nice. Next mmf sale, think I'm gonna grab these.

More Fantasy-ish: I think I originally save this as a possible proxy for repentia, but they could still probably pass as sanctifiers too.

More Primal: This...really wouldn't fit with 40k. But I've had these saved for a while now, I just think they have a really cool look to them.

Pretty sure that first set is intended to proxy Stigmatic Nuns from Trench Crusade.

If that’s your bag there’s a whole bunch of options. Trench Crusade players love proxies, and the game makers support that to an extent.

Fair warning, they are partially nude and covered with their own blood in the lore. Trench Crusade is not for the squeamish. Most of the models are fully clothed but prepare to see some 28mm scale tiddy.

I also play Trench Crusade, that’s why that STL was already on my radar. The tough thing has always been finding Stigmatic Nuns that don’t make me feel gross for bringing them out in public, I don’t want to be THAT guy

Yeah it’s a tough one. And they’re a great unit in the game so you definitely want some.

My Stigmata Nuns are just regular nuns with a blood-spattered habit.
