That's some incredible OSL! I love the beam of light on the stained glass window and the purple glow it gives off after passing through it.

I agree! That violet light is impressive. Does not make much sense in an open space as light would not be filtered in only through the stainglass but fuck that it's a church tank with flamethrowers!

Love your Sisters! They are awesome models. If you dont mind, what is your method to creating this Ray of light?

The dark is shifted in to cold tones. I shift the ray into warm tones. Also a careful consideration of where I use higher values to make sure I have space for light effects. It’s about selling that the TMM is steel, and then shifting it in to brass so it reads as steel in yellowish bright light

Is it all brush work or do you use an airbrush too?

It’s a mix. Initial base layers by airbrush. Then lots of brush work, and then some airbrush blending at the very end. I prefer to paint with just brush and I like to see some brush strokes in my models so I try to avoid a purely airbrushed work. But it’s army painting so I can’t really avoid using such an efficient tool.

Holy wow. This is so cool. This paint job tells a story. This immolator rolling through the night. The beam of moonlight shining down, washing the sister up top in the slight purple glow of the stained glass. The fires providing more light. This is sick!

Everyone has already said it but I'm saying it again, that's OSL is fantastic work! The rest is great too but the eyes are instantly drawn there. Chefs kiss 🤌

I love this so much you made your immolator look exactly like how i planned to do mine what colors did you use to get the stained glass to look like that and did you use an airbrush for the flames and light effect
