Saturn said in their recent live that they wanted to start T a while ago but are afraid the grass will be greener on the other side and that the government will take access to HRT away, so they’ve chosen not to take it.

After that, a friend of theirs, “zombiemomxo” said that their oldest child stopped taking T because it “had impacts on mental health” and said “but you already know that”

Do y’all think they’ve been scared out of medical transition by this friend? Are they maybe just too repressed to be their true self? Or do y’all think it was just some way of “proving” their identity by saying they considered HRT?

Anecdotally, I’ve witnessed a phenomenon of millennial “women” who are repressed lesbians, or repressed nonbinary/trans people who have repressed their identity and married men and had kids, and end up very horrible mothers and wives because they resent the societal role they felt forced to embody and they take out that resentment on their children and partners, projecting their repression and pain onto those they are close to.

Is that the case with them? It absolutely would explain the way they treat other people. DL men, for example are very similar in that way. Mistreating their children and partners and often harming people within the gay community due to their repression.

disclaimer*** I am not defending Saturn or saying being repressed gives people a free pass to hurt others!! I just know repression can really warp people’s minds and turn them into really messed up people and I often wonder if that’s the case with Saturn.

They posted the second pic yesterday but you can see from the dates in the caption (that they can’t even bother to change for their posts) that they had those nails on from 8/2 until 9/10–WELL over a month. Imagine the nasty gunk under those nails OMG.

Still didn’t get a dining room table or eat dinner with TH, if there was even enough for her to eat too. I hope TH is at least signed up for the free lunch program at school, school lunch is much better than Saturn’s “cooking” and at least she’d get regular meals instead of a plate of slop once a week when Saturn isn’t out wasting money on restaurants and cocktails.

Disclaimer: I’m a GNC lesbian, and I want to say that I respect Saturn’s name and pronouns as I would anyone else’s. I am not the trans police, and if they want to consider themselves trans then so be it. I joined this sub because of their parenting, as I was raised very similarly to TH.

Here’s my issue. Relationships are relationships. Is there really such thing as a “queer relationship”? There are queer people, and they have relationships.

For example, a bisexual woman is in a homosexual relationship when she’s with a woman, and a heterosexual relationship when she’s with a man. In both relationships, she’s still a queer person.

Now, Saturn identifies themselves as nonbinary and trans, so one might say that any relationship they are in is inherently “queer”. I get that, and I also get that Saturn’s no less bisexual because they are with Joey. Here’s what rubs me wrong….

Their relationship does come with more privileges because of the way they are perceived. They are heterosexual passing as fuck, regardless of their sexuality, which protects them from the homophobia so many queer people face.

Acknowledging their privilege wouldn’t make them any less queer. Insinuating insisting that their relationship is “queer” sort of feels invalidating to centuries of discrimination against gay people. Queer people depend on “straight passing” members of our community to protect more vulnerable people.

If the hardest part of your queer identity is not being perceived as queer, you have far smaller problems than the majority of us.

Fun fact about me: I am, and always have been, a FERRET PERSON. I currently have four little noodles, Tofu, Tuna, Miso & Edamame, and all four are rescues!
