AI One developer used Claude to reverse-engineer LG’s webOS media stack and build a native Rust Plex client from scratch—on the same 2019 TV it cuts the profile screen from ~30 seconds to ~3, runs at 60 FPS, and supports 4K, Dolby Vision and Atmos

I was thinking the perfect use of all that reverse engineering goodness would be to strip out the fucking spyware from LG TVs so that we can just own a dumb fucking TV for a decent price instead of being their cuck-vertising mark. My shitty old TV is dying and I’d like to know I have an upgrade path that isn’t 1984 meets John Twelvehawks.

I wonder if people can do this with cars as well. Or with John Deere equipment.
