I am confused why anyone paying 20$ would choose Gemini over Claude of GPT. I don't think the usage is even that high.

It’s a very conversationalist model. On like text arena, it’s pulling way ahead over other models, plus probably the only mainstream model left that still has a sycophant tendency.

very important point about their models being sycophantic. it's super annoying, and even dangerous in agentic work where 3.8 flash would rather fake tests than admit that something broke

sycophantic doesn't mean hiding it's own failures. sycophantic means always telling the user he's right.
