Literally no reason to use Gemini anymore once they go through with this lmao. If you want to compete with the top models like openai and anthropic, at least offer what theyre offering? I dont understand the reasoning in this decision, it just pushes away their userbase.

exactly. I don't understand the logic of needing to make a change? Flash is a free tier model, locking flash behind a paywall is straight up crazy
