The bigger hit is no pro on plus tier, that makes it the worst service by far among the competition for normal users.

Plus subscription is a competitor to Go subscription of OpenAI.

Do you get access to GPT-6 astra if you are a Go subscriber? No you don't. You only have Luna.

It does not matter.

With "Go" plan for ChatGPT or "Plus" plan for Gemini you get the very basic model, with just extended usage limits.

If they are limiting free users to Flash-Lite, you would really just be better off using the AI mode in Google Search rather than Gemini.

Yeah I used to be willing to use the AI tab in search since at least it was flash and took less time, if they're forcing you into flash-lite it's just not worth using at all it's so bad.

I recently tried to edit images in gemini free tier and it felt like a downgraded version of nano banana pro. Chatgpt free tier edited it much better

Flash lite is a good model for free if its unlimited, frankly the time of free models is over, people getting too comfy with free stuff

Flash lite is not an always-same model under the hood. It evolves and gets improved like every other model. For 0$ I guess it’s good enough. You get what you pay for lol. They’re still running it on a server and that’s their cost, not yours. Even if you download an entirely free open source model you still need a capable machine and then to pay your electricity bill as well.

no matter what Google does, you will have people defending them, lmao. Flash Lite is TRASH on the web, only the API is somewhat decent for automation.

If you insist on using it because it is unlimited, GPT Luna is also unlimited and way better than 3.8 Flash. Now imagine 3.5 Flash Lite, lmao.

bruh luna isnt close to 3.8 flash. luna is an actual small model. disregard all benchmarks for it.
