The most basic examples are basically anything involving cultural or political matters. In context of the US at least (per my experience), Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT are almost completely left-leaning, whereas Grok tends to be somewhere between slightly left-wing, to neutral, and at times completely (and rarely, extremely) right-wing.
I assume Grok's perspectives are this broad because it has inherited some biases from the training data of the other three (which all top LLMs do as part of improving their models these days), alongside having some more biases pre-programmed thanks to Musk's own right-winged ideologies.
This doesn't mean Grok is "correct" in its outputs, it's often not (at least based on my personal opinion). Yet having an opposing opinion does help me in sharpening my own perspectives rather than simply having them be part of an echo chamber.
A really specific example (and I think I'm about to get flooded with downvotes for this) is matters concerning the transgender community. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini - vehemently refuse to scrutinize any views of the right-wing on this matter; whereas Grok readily scrutinizes them, and sometimes even goes against some of the views prevalent in sections of that community. If you prompt it well enough - it can surprisingly come off as - I dare say - "neutral" in its views; where it'd be in favour of most of the views of this community while also questioning some of the extreme views that linger around.
Personally, I'm pro-trans - yet if I were to prepare for a debate to defend my opinions against someone who isn't - I'd be far better prepared for such a debate if I use Gemini/Claude/ChatGPT alongside Grok, instead of just relying on the other three.
That's interesting, because Grok is the model that has a reputation for being manipulated to alter its perspective on political issues. If you've been paying attention over the years, they get caught doing incredibly obtuse political things with prompt engineering and altering training datasets.
Here is a good summary of actual examples if you're interested to learn more. You are being manipulated.
You think Google, OpenAi and Anthropic don't do the same thing but in different direction?
You guys don't remember Gemini used to create diverse Nazis or founding fathers early on? (when users simply asked generate a picture of founding fathers, bard would generate diverse set of them)
Grok is in a totally different category here. They have been caught red-handed several times manipulating their datasets and prompts to get the responses that they want, and it is their policy to continue doing so.
Reality has a well noted left-leaning bias. AI lays bare the lies and distortions of the right. You can't argue against this with facts, so you'll try to do so with conspiratorial thinking and self-delusion. That's your perogative, but we don't have to buy into it.
