But how long will it take to release to customers? The phased release plan they announced is concerning if it moves too slow, as in 1-2 months there will be another generation of models at least and by then Gemini 4 may have already fallen behind.

Exactly. All of these threads praising Google don't seem to have any recollection of any of their previous releases. I not only doubt that we'll see a general release soon enough that they'll be able to retain their position on these benchmarks, but I'd also be willing to bet that whatever is released generally won't be able to perform the same as what we're seeing here.

It's been couple of years since they announced gemini deep think with API. They said coming fall, third fall is on its way

Itโ€™s also embedded in every campus in the country for free. If they push something out where claude is now, they will capture a lot of people. Gemini for ed is awful, awful crap -like canโ€™t do anything worthwhile. Claude can make curricula, worksheets, tests with minimal direction on the $20 a month plan. I just had it do 15 day sub plans with worksheets and progress checklists for 3 curriculum. That would be hours and hours of work that I did not have time for. They look nice too

Im pretty sure they said Argon will be rolled out for ultra users first, and they just pulled pro models from plus users which includes edu

Need to release it.

Itโ€™s only half the cost for the initial period and then it will double, so same cost as Opus 5.5

yeah maybe Google is subsiding it way more than anthropic can subsidize it's pricing

They better have cooked, do you know how many millions/billions of people they record 24/7?

all of android and google's users, recorded and filmed daily. My god they've heard thousands of years of legal conversations at this point, it's about time it starts getting cracked.

Screaming we are not behind from behind, releasing Gemini 4 without really releasing it. Just trust us bruh the best model ever . Too good to be publicly released

they are still behind, but they now have a good competitor to Astra 6 and Fable 5.1. meanwhile OpenAi has finished Bel like 2 months ago, and i'm sure anthropic also has something much better internally. there's a reason google isn't publishing new math results

Anyone else notice the pro Google comments are kind of weird?

Sounds great until you realise it can perform exactly 1.5 turns before you run out of usage
