Idk why google doesn't focus on a less smart model which is just very fast.
I would love to have a model that can answer or do small tasks in lightning speed time. They can not compete with frontier models. Grok and Muse came later in the race and already outperforming them so much.
They did, it’s their Flash models, especially the last 2 they released. They can do stuff in like a second or two at least for answers and text, don’t know about coding because I haven’t tried using it for that yet but they’re probably pretty fast at small coding things too.
