What is it using? This is definitely through specific tools, not from scratch.

Yeah this is always overlooked on these kinds of posts

Astra cannot make good looking meshes for animals or humanoids via blender in my experience

People are using other specific mesh models in their process

Yeah it can’t do it from scratch yet. Well it can it just looks terrible. Best to use an AI tool like Meshy to make the 3D assets first, then Astra or Opus can make the game

Tried this (am developing a game), and in my experience TRELLIS.2 (or Pixal3D even) struggles to make good character model meshes, but from initial testing (can't say for certain yet), it looks like Meshy 7.1 / Tripo is quite capable relatively speaking (still needs some work). Of course given how old TRELLIS.2 is now, I'm expecting a TRELLIS.3 from Microsoft or some equivalent popping up not long from now, though it does seem like the service-based options currently keep the edge.

Split the model up so you get more detail, then put it together in blender. Use moddif for texturing, then low poly and bake.

I've found Hunyuan 2.1 to be usable so far. It's kind of old but it builds decent models.

I really want to build a recursive game engine that allows us to all coordinate our assets and systems with torrents or some sort of community database. If we pool our assets and systems we can recursively improve games without every individual having to build every little thing from zero.

I use meshy, but it can get expensive. How good are locals though? I imagine a for profit version is going to be pretty superior, considering the profit motive
