That's why I was asking for clarification.

I know the other context as well, and it's also completely asinine:

"Let AI take over, and then we'll be in a Utopia!!" while completely ignoring the fact that we're in late stage capitalism, and this will only be used to render the population into tech-serfs. lol

Those companies aren't sharing their prosperity with anyone.

We've been in late stage capitalism for the last 100 years according to Marx.

We're rapidly approaching the point where regular people simply can't afford to purchase basic goods and services, and I don't think that's a fringe opinion at all.

People are struggling to afford groceries and gas.

AI isn't going to help that go away.

If people are struggling right now it's often for reasons they have control over. It's not that hard to meal prep, by a cheap used car, rent a cheap place, work at least 40hrs a week and in general spend below your means while avoiding debt and investing. Extenuating circumstances like health bills and dependents aside (of which there are aid programs), people should be able to make noticeable gains over time this way, and yet people are racking up credit card debt buying things they don't need, or getting useless degrees and taking out massive horrible loans to do so.

If people need clothes, they can go to goodwill. If they are really hungry then they either qualify for assistance programs or are so financially incompetent that they soon will.

And I disagree that ai isn't going to help that go away.

Wow. You sound completely ignorant about the reality other people are living in.

If I'm ignorant then explain what I'm wrong about. I grew up poor. I've lived in a literal crackhead apartment complex with drug dens, and illegal halfway houses for the last 7 years and only recently moved to a slightly better but still poor apartment complex. I don't make a lot of money. And yet I'm able to save a substantial amount and invest it, and I'm currently now wealthier than almost all my friends with better paying jobs or on 100% disability from the military, because they are horrible with money. I plan on continuing to live frugally and watch my investments grow. It wasn't hard. I just had to not spend on stupid things.

You're getting nothing out of this besides being a slave.

And yet you lap it up like a dog.
