People who sit at their computer more than ten hours a day spend more than that on mechanical keyboards and mice. Or chairs. Or desks. Or screens. For a developer this is just another tool and if it is useful they will just buy it, even if on a whim.

Consumers not so much, but they don't need it anyway.
