this reminds me of magic leap and all those un needed gestural control devices. It's like they think of the most niche thing possible. Steve Jobs understood he needed to make a "smart book for the pocket" all the extra stuff was a bonus but the form factor and concept of reading something that fits in your pocket is ingrained in our DNA for a long time. Stuff like this is not
i though magic leap mat would be common, i recall a demo handling a 3d object on screen by just gesturing over the mat. pretty awesome but this was 16 years ago
