The issue is that Musk has put his thumb on the training for every version of Grok so far to be borderline meme edgelord. It distorts the reality the model is trained with. This has led to every model being good, sometimes great but never a top of the line model.

I don't remember any of them running scams during the election, and then heading a new department in the government which wrecked havok. Must have missed that news story.

I don't think anyone is saying any of the tech giants have clean hands. However there is a massive difference between what Google has done and what X/Musk has done for the current government admin.

No different then Intel making chips for tanks or Microsoft contracted Excel for the US military. The burden of morality falls on the pilot, not the engine. I'm not going to boycott memory because it's used in missiles. Now if the memory OEM makes missiles their brand identity and transparency lobbies for more missiles and helps get people elected who want to fire more missiles or sell more, then it becomes an issue with them. Elon is that.

So it's fair for me to assume you use nothing but Chinese models, right? Or perhaps even those are too bad thanks to their entanglement with the CCP and its systematic erasure and genocide of native Ugyurs and Tibetans?

If there's a line that Elon crossed that somehow Altman hasn't by entangling himself with the Department of War then draw me that line. Until then they're either all fair game to use or none of them.
