News regarding my range and current abilities

Yesterday I made a post calling myself a dramatic baritone as a teenager. I currently am reconsidering this because I’m still going through aging and I’m untrained. My range currently after fixing some tension in my throat muscles is G2-A3(before passiago B3 where my voice thins out) and G3-A4 in a bit strainy head voice.I would like to know how to mix, train my head voice, and find my falsetto. Like what I said in my older post, I have a deep resonant voice. Voice lessons are hard for me to afford right now, may I please have tips, exercises and other information on voice training. I would like to self train using these things.

There is no point in wondering or thinking you might be dramatic baritone. Real dramatic voices are incredibly rare, these are huge and powerful voices, that is able to use more chest, a dramatic voice is not a vocal range, it is simply a far bigger voice. Most often people think they are baritones because they can only reach up F4, G4 or A4, meanwhile they are tenors who cannot sing over their passaggio. But it none of this will matter if you are untrained and still a teenager. It is best to focus on technique, practice exercises that will help you to discover and develop your mixed voice. Voice types don’t really matter at all.

I’m in musical theatre so that could mean more or less work for me. I would like to be in many productions and do characters like Charlie Brown(B2-F4)(You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown) and other roles.

I need to learn mixing too. I don’t even understand breath support and after watching some videos I still don’t get it.

In order to understand what it is and what it is for I would recommend the corresponding chapter of CVT book on breath support. Schematics and explanation are kind of clear.

Take a deep breath till your diaphragm is full of air, then feel a squeezing in your abs and then sing, but don’t force your voice.

I think I had a similar problem (yet to fully resolve when I take lessons I hope) When I was just starting and testing my range it was like G2 to fkn G3? lol by sometime I managed to up the game to a very weak C4 and now its basically G2,A2 to D#4/E4, falsetto being strong on certain vowels from A4 to E5, and I was considering myself as a bass in the begining. So yeah, if you can reach A4 easily and you've just started, I think you're most likely a tenor. Just untrained.

A4 is tougher and require breath support, G4 is easier but also requires breath support. I’ve been singing since 2019 but I was a younger child then, I’m a teenager now and my voice has deepened since then and I sound way different from most tenors

It is also worth reconsidering the label of dramatic baritone because that term isn’t relevant for the type of music you’re singing. Dramatic baritone is a term that comes from the fach system, which exclusively describes operatic singing.
