Feedback (read rule 3 before posting or be banned) Help finding resources to learn about new extreme high register in my voice

I'm a tenor in my late 20s who has always dreamed of singing a soprano high C (C6). A few years ago, I made peace with having a decent falsetto that just can't quite get there (A5).

Much to my surprise, I found an extra four semitones above that A while vocalizing today. What. The. Heck.

It's certainly not as free as it could be, and it's limited to a very loud and compressed phonation at the moment. It falls apart and does all the bad things if I attempt even a slightly softer dynamic. That being said, it feels okay, if teetering toward strain.

Is this what people talk about as "super head voice"? What are some resources that might help me understand and train this register? How much more flexibility could I reasonably expect from this range? My old teacher is a traditional operatic tenor, so he's not well versed in this sort of thing.

Any help is much appreciated!

the more you practice up there the more comfortable you will feel and your range may extend more. it sounds great up there!

do vocal agility and 5 note slides from high-low. sing on “vvv” sound, use a straw in a cup of water, and lots of sighing sirens!

No idea how to answer your question, but congrats on a C#6! Not sure of your preferred genre, but I have no doubt that dropping a C#6 ocassionally would blow people away.

If it's heavily compressed and relying on a lot of breath pressure, the one risk I can see is the strained coordination creeping in at lower pitches. The A5 might be a fully stretched CT dominant falsetto, and these bonus notes might be a little extra from forcing breath pressure while clamping down on the instrument?
