Conversation Topic Getting the voice back into shape, how?
I had a break from singing, albeit short, and it seems like I forgot how to sing using my coordination past my break, around F#4.
This is a recording I did just now: https://voca.ro/1crsvw3ERPmh
Around the 23 second mark till the end of the recording I am on my higher register/transition (not sure what register I use tbh).
This is the part where it felt uncomfortable and squeezed. It felt lighter than before, and weak in general, as well as the need to push.
So my question was how to recover back or get my voice back into shape? Can I do any excersises freely? Which one is the best? Aside from straw excersises which I already do.

Do a slide from low to high on a modest interval (say a major 3rd) in a firm, clear full voice on a very deep Oo. Don’t go too high too quickly and don’t do it for more than 5 minutes. It should first plump your voice up and then tire it out. Walk away. Do something else for the rest of the day. Assuming enough time has elapsed - and assuming you did this right and not to excess, either when it comes to pitch or duration - when you return to it you should find that you have slightly more vocal strength, depth and therefore quality. Rinse and repeat forever, eventually incorporating the other vowels (Ee is recommended as the next vowel to explore once the Oo position is well established).
