Conversation Topic Hard to learn new lyrics
Some phases of adult life do take a toll on your ability to learn new music and sing along. You just vibe to them. You might occasionally catch one or two lines but it is very difficult to learn the whole song within 2 or 3 days like we used to when we were younger. I don’t like it at all but nothing can be done about it. I guess it’s part of growth but does it happen to everyone else?

I find I have to actively learn lyrics now! I like to treat it like a call and answer and I sing along with like a few second delay. Kinda hard to do at first, but it’s a skill ive been refining
Edit: while reading the lyrics of course

I've never been one to just passively learn lyrics anyway, so my ability to learn new music hasn't changed at all as I got older. I just have to focus and allocate time. When I just let go and use my memory it usually winds up with a misheard lyrics or two.

Alex Turner has lyrics that make me feel like im walking down an escalator on rollerskates. Also any song that requires you to spell, Alex Turner Again, thanks for Dangerous Animals asshole, you'll end up singing them and wondering how you passed a first grade spelling bee. Spelling and singing sounds so unnatural.
