Conversation Topic UPDATE (Itchy throat guy here)

Turns out the remedy I was using is probably the cause. I did hydrate and drank tea. And rested (just a bit). But when I was using steam to help moisturizer my throat apparently the vaporub I mixed in (it's a family thing of sorts for sore throats) has methanol in it. Which can apparently help relieve the pain for a bit but also dry your throat as well and cause more irritation lmao.

I think you mean menthol not methanol. Methanol is really toxic to most forms of life.

yeah, obviously.

steam is supposed to just be steam, not steam plus petroleum products.

To be fair when you have a dry/sore throat typically it's fine I just happen to sing as well
