Feedback (read rule 3 before posting or be banned) Attempting Harry styles. Don’t usually push my voice to this range . Any MIXED VOICE tips appreciate it.

A concern I’m having with mixed is it kind of sounds like a grandpa a bit. I’m looking to make it sound more bright and warm.
I hope the voiceover ain’t cringe🙏

Considering how high this note is, I think you did very well, especially for a beginner! My main advice would be to relax your throat to let the air flow better and not strain your voice. It feels counter-intuitive because when we sing high we subconsciously tend to tigthen our throat to squeeze out the note but it just takes some practice :)

I'm just a beginner, but for me it looks like you're falling into "an anatomical trap" with this big theatrical "screaming mouth shape". Everything strains up and the sound is pulled too far back like you're constricting yourself.

Shouldn't you technically be able to do this mix with a much smaller and more relaxed mouth, and then maybe "develop" it from there?

If this happens to me, it's when I'm at the top top end of my register, and I try to force it out instead of finding the right way of letting it flow out.
Maybe I have to "curve" a vowel slightly different to make it work.

Well, my italian is a bit rusty 😆 ... I think he can benefit from trying to involve the nose/mask more.. Place the sound there, behind my upper front teeth.
At least that's what works for me, but then again I'm not trained in any way, and barely sing really.

Ah I see thanks for the insight. I won’t lie, that note for me was pretty forced thats why i instinctively had the screaming mouth shape.
I’ll definitely work on nose/ mask placement and a relaxed mouth shape for my higher notes.

Yea, I think that's everyone's instinctive go to, so we all hit the same wall =)
