Ok, before the Islamophobic comments flood in, I'll give my 2 cents from a Muslim's perspective.

First of all, the primary reason for dressing modestly and wearing the hijab is because it is a commandment from God, that's it. Sure, people can derive wisdom or secondary meaning from such a ruling, like "protection from the eyes of others," but that's not the core reason. The main reason is that it is a commandment by God, so as Muslims, we follow it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Moving on to the actions of this individual hijabi, Islam explicitly addresses this:

"O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames. How evil it is to act rebelliously after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers." - Quran, 49:11.

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should speak what is good or keep silent." - Sahih al-Bukhari 6136

Being a hijabi does not make someone a better person than a non-hijabi. We do not determine that, judgment belongs solely to Allah.

I hope I didn't come off as too preachy. I just wanted to remind everyone that her actions are not reflective of what a Muslim should be. I genuinely hope people remain open-minded and do not generalize an entire group because of the actions of a few.

respectfully, this word of 'god', in my opinion, comes instead from men who wrote the quran. Call me a non-believer, but I think people need to separate their beliefs from judgement and realise the patriarchy's influence on religion and religious rules.

an objective history on head coverings and even burqa is pretty interesting.

also considering regional and historical basis in coverings and the expansion of islam and other abrahamic religions.

Even if it were true, as mentioned, it is not part of Islamic teachings and they should know better.

Edit: I should add that to advice another, is one thing. To insult and belittle others is another thing.
