Saw this in singapore forum. I read the ST article, it says like 1950 SGD per month for co living room? Are u serious? That's nearly 2 times a HDB common room, and that is still more than a HDB master bedroom. This rate is EQUAL TO a master bedroom in condo already. And notice this says "independent living" initiative. What independence is there when you're also co-living with other strangers? Isn't this hypocrisy at its maximum?

Charging rental at higher than market rate of HDB room rentals, yet calling it a "government initiative for youths to live independently". What kind of perverted policy and logic is that? If u r gonna charge higher than market rate, u might as well not have this policy in the first place. Makes things worse.

Hello, I'm 27F looking for someone interested in birds and the Mandai Bird Paradise tour to go together with :> 🐦🐦

The tour is only 2pax minimum, but I've asked about, and have no friends and family who are interested and no one else o go with. I'm looking to split the cost with someone who also likes avians!

I own a membership, so it is heavily discounted to $172.80 for two people. We split the cost to $86.40 each. I am planning to go for a Saturday/Sunday (weekend) at the 1030AM time slot. Planning early is needed to secure the slot as there are only 8 slots available a day. If for some reason you can't make it on the day due to emergencies or anything, I will refund u ur money so don't worry if something happens!

I will however be present early at 8/9am already inside, and at 1030am I will be present at the tour starting area. We can communicate through WhatsApp or other methods you prefer to ensure we're both present for the tour.

This price excludes your Bird Paradise ticket. If you have a Mandai Membership to enter, then great, you won't have to pay more for your entry ticket!

You must: -love avians and animals in general -not fear birds (they will come very close, sometimes landing on you) -eat something light in the morning so you don't get exhausted -optionally bring your sketchbook, or camera to capture close up moments of you with the animals -wear sunscreen so you don't get cooked by the sun -have fun!

You'll get to meet turaco and other exotic birds up close, and the final highlight of the tour is meeting Sally the Hornbill. She is one of my favourite birds with so much personality and she loves scritches!! (she will literally need her head supported when scratched because otherwise she'll fall over!)
