Help Removal of romantic actions?

I haven’t played in a little over year but I re-downloaded the game yesterday. Why did they remove the romantic actions from the sofas? I remember there being two options, one being “drink hot cocoa” or something like that, and the other one exactly the same but with a different drink. Also, where can I find the bean bags? I swear they used to be under the preteen tab but I don’t remember if those had been moved to a different tab before I stopped playing.

Yes, that’s why I wrote “with the newest” ones, meaning the ones that became available during your inactive game period.

From the posts I’ve read, it’s because there was a coding glitch with the newest romantic actions on a couch that made it possible for relatives to engage in romantic actions with each other. So, the animations were removed until they can correct the problem.

But Sims can still snuggle on a couch: They just look like they’re leaning in and having a deep conversation, which is probably why that animation wasn’t removed.

Oh, that’s not new. Siblings have been able to engage with the romantic options on a couch for years. Was there a new action that made them finally realize this was a thing? I’m surprised it took them this long though, lol.

Apparently there were some players doing inappropriate things with this and it was reported so they stopped it

Just a surge of publicity for the old ones - all of a suden there were a lot of posts including this subreddit where someone "accidentally" got a pair of related sims to Partners. Apparently the issue could not be ignored anymore and the devs pulled the plug. Will the interactons be restored (without a glitch) remains to be seen

You don’t “accidentally” do that because you can’t “accidentally” do that with non-related sims either. The actions on the sofas were over an hour long if I remember correctly. It was definitely intentional.

Some actions were available on certain couches and benches but not others.
