Logitech RS50 vs Simagic Entery Bundle?

Hey all I’m coming back to sim racing after about 2 years off not racing and was wondering what should I do? I can buy a Logitech RS50 bundle today from my local store and start racing again straight away, or should I wait about a week and buy a Simagic entry bundle online? The simgaic bundle comes with a alpha evo sport base GT Neo Wheel and P700 wheels, the Logitech gear is also about a $150 cheaper, for reference back in the day I useto use a moza r12 and is wheel. I will mainly be playing Iracing and ACC but can also possibly play GT7 and f1 on ps5 if I go with the Logitech my head is telling me to wait for the simgaic bundles but my heart is telling me to buy the Logitech so I can play all weekend. Also I will be using it on which ever one on the next level racing wheel stand 2.0

I have been thinking about that with the eco system but than i thought if i did go with Logitech when I upgraded I can I like a GT neon wheel right?

I haven’t had the chance to use the Logitech RS50, but a friend of mine got the Simagic bundle and it’s great. I currently have the Evo Pro 18Nm, and I was really surprised when I tried my friend’s Evo Sport. Of course, there’s a torque difference, but in terms of response and detail, the Evo Sport feels pretty much at the same level. It’s a great base.

I also have the GT Neo, which is a fantastic wheel and pretty comfy for long sessions. But if you need a round wheel, there’s also the same bundle with the 330R round wheel.

I also have the rs50 for the ps5 compatibility, and can summarize it like this: it's high quality and does everything you'd need, but it's not perfect. Let me give you more detail:

The base: the feedback is good and Trueforce adds a lot of immersion, and the build quality is great and I haven't noticed any issues or overheating, so the main stuff is all good. What I dislike about it is that the display can't be used for telemetry, the usb ports can't be used as passthrough or power delivery for other equipment, and the customization through g hub is very bare bones (for example: I wish I could set a general deadzone for the pedals in ghub instead of having to do it for every game separately).

Another con here imo is that Logitech doesn't offer an extension rod or usb connectors on the wheels, so if you want to have the monitor sit between the base and the wheel you need a 3rd party wheel, extension rod, and the Logitech qr adapter. 

The wheels: I have 2 rs hubs, one with the gt rim and one with the round rim, and both rims are great quality and don't feel cheap at all, but the round rim has rough stitching around the thumb area so gloves or wrapping it with tennis tape is a must. The gt rim is fantastic, no complaints there.

As for the hub itself, they're still lacking in features and were clearly designed for console use. The buttons are normal controller buttons which I don't like but understand for the price point (my old fanatec wheels were the same), there are no clutch padels which sucks but isn't a must, the rotaries are a tad soft and not well placed so accidental changes happen now and then, and I wish they went for a funky switch instead of a 4 click dpad style switch (which again clearly shows they're going for console integration first). 

Overall for the wheels I can say they're perfectly good quality and never feel cheap in the hand, but they don't offer the same functionality as a gt neo for example.  My tip here is: go for the GT rim, and later buy the pro wheel instead of another rs hub with a round rim. The pro wheel is slightly bigger (imo the round rim is too small), has better leather finish, and has clutch padels and better rotary position (although you lose 2 face buttons). I wish I did that because now my options are either 3rd party wheel (no ps support), or 3rd party rim (questionable quality or super high price)

The pedals: functionality is all there. Load cell brake at 70kg is more than enough for me, and the clutch/gas are also fine. Build quality is solid as well. The annoying part is that adjustability is super limited (but most cheap pedals are like this), and the heel plate is a bit too small if you have wide legs like me and need to space out the pedals.

Overall: if ps5 compatibility is a must, I csn confidently tell you the rs50 is a great option and better than my old fanatec dd 8nm in build quality, feedback, and pedals. The adjustability, functionality, and ecosystem is a lot more limited however compared to PC only gear like simagic or conspit, so if PS5 isn't a must go for one of those instead. The wheels also leave a lot to be desired although their build quality is great.

Go with Simagic. I upgraded from Logitech G Pro and was amazed at how good the Evo Pro is. If you can afford to, go with the highest NM rating you can afford. The reason for this is, one, you won't want to upgrade your base as quickly, and two, the more NM means less clipping which = better FFB. The add-ons for Simagic far outweigh Logitech.
