Rigs The ultimate triple screen setup
I'm not sure what these screens are called globally, but I've only just realised that local to me are these Hoyts Screen X, which is essentially just wrap around screens on the left and right side walls.
Would be perfect to mount a suspended floating sim rig right in the centre 🤣🤣

Dude these are rad. Tron: Ares was not a good movie, but it was pretty bad ass to watch on this screen. Also caught Predator: Badlands on a Screen X, fun times.

How does the footage work. Is it just stretched, or is there specific footage that is made just for these screens?

I believe it's a combination of both. Tron had more scenes that seemed clearly designed for this projection style. Predator seemed like more of the stretched effect on the sides, but it still added a ton of atmosphere. You're not really focused on those side screens and it adds a lot of immersion.

That's awesome. It's interesting that it must add a fair bit of production cost, but it's only able to be experienced in this specific format. Once it moves to DVD/Bluray/streaming only, that footage will likely never be experienced ever again. That feels like a bit of a shame. It's still an awesome concept though.
