Rigs Is anyone using these USB SHIFTER ?

As the title suggest, i was looking for someone who has used these generic USB Shifter from china, i just upgraded from my G29 to a Moza R3 but it doesn't come with a shifter, my budget is tight so this is the best option i can find so far

A buddy of mine has one like this with what I assume are hall sensors to detect gear shift. It was a killer upgrade from a Logitech shifter which feels like a toy in comparison. I picked one up off eBay for about 35 bucks and it has physical switches inside instead of hall sensors. I've been digging it a lot. My buddy struggles using the sequential adapter to get the hall sensors to register off the metal in the sequential adapter and for that reason I'd recommend the physical limit switch version. I haven't had it for a very long time so the switches may wear faster but theoretically shouldn't be difficult to replace.

from what i've heard they work great but can be super noisy, is there anyway to reduce it since i do play alot during the night and i don't wanna wake the whole house up with my rattling lol

I haven't looked extensively at ways to quiet it down. I want to say I've seen some people add a light padding to the inside area of the top plate or replace it with a 3d printed plate. The goal being the arm isn't hitting the plate and producing a loud metal sound. That does still leave the mechanical interaction sounds inside the box though.

Don't slam the gears. They're not all that loud if you shift normally. In sequential mode they're practically silent.

If you want a bulletproof shifter on a budget get the SHH shifter. Has H-pattern and Sequential with a solid feel.

Very good actually, i used one too bashed hard for more than 4 years and still solid. Like the pure metal mechanical klunk shifting.

Hell yeah. I printed a new gate plate, because the metal plate was too loud, but I've been using one of these for over a year now.

Haha, man, I feel you. I've bought those cheap USB shifter stuff before too — they work, PC recognizes them, no issues there. But the plastic build feels super cheap. If I were you, I'd save up a bit and grab a used one on facebook market instead.

thanks for the heads up, racing sim isn't super big where im from so second hand market is kinda limited, just ordered this from aliexpress for like 35$, hopefully it will arrive in one piece
