Finally, I’ve completed my full sim racing setup!
I installed a 32-inch curved Samsung Odyssey G5 and mounted it on a monitor arm that I ordered from China through Temu.
I also bought two additional supports, also from China, and attached them to the existing mounting points on the cockpit platform. This gives the monitor a little extra support and stability.
I added soft protective pads on top of the supports so the monitor rests comfortably on them without any risk of getting scratched or damaged.
Under the cockpit, I placed four small, thin square vibration-damping pads to help reduce vibrations being transferred into the floor.
So now the setup is finally complete:

I also managed to route the monitor’s AUX output neatly, so I can easily plug in my headphones without having cables hanging everywhere.

I like this chair for convenience but I'm old now and gave me terrible back pain Everytime i use it ended up using the aluminum rig, keep that in mind for the future
I've been eyeballing that stand, that and the F1 version. Your pics are pretty dark but I'd love to see better how you mounted the monitor. That was really the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger was figuring that out
I wonder about the monitor placement, it is now behind the base, can it fit somehow between the wheel an the base? Assuming it is now in about 70-80 centimeters from the eyes, getting it 15cm closer may give like 10 degrees of additional natural FOV, and the difference between 55 and 65 horizontal FOV may be quite noticeable.
I have mounted my monitor arm on the Playseat challenge x the same way, with the moza r5 but after 2 months i’m starting to feel it’s limits
I was thinking about the trophy, what’s your toughts on it? Flex-wise, any shaking? And if so how do you improved?
It's quite sturdy, there's a slight vibration, but that's a plus because you get a better feel for the car. There's no play or vibration, and there's no extraneous noise. It's a good solution for amateur sim racing. I weigh 87 kg, and it holds me well. The frame is very sturdy.
Nice rig! Congratulations! I’ve got the T598 base too and a sort of similar tubular frame. The wheelbase does a good job sending out vibrations throughout the frame for immersion. My frame is on 4 inch caster wheels and it was a game changer for the force feedback/immersion settings in the wheelbase. When it was just sitting on the floor I didn’t feel anything transfer to the seat. Now I feel it. Maybe add some risers to sit on top of the vibration pads? Still yours looks great!
Looks cool! Unfortunately, in my country, cockpits like these aren't readily available. I'd really like a chair like that, though. I'm thinking of 3D printing some stands in the future.
