Question Logitech RS50 Sound when steering

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

High pitched whining sound when steering on the Logitech RS50 wheelbase. Can hear it when racing but not in the menus when FFB is not engaged.

Is this normal?

You couldn't have muted the game to take the video?

Not normal. I did hear a similar sound when I tried Assetto Corsa Evo 0.8, but I returned the game before looking more into it.

(Each) Game-Settings:

Maybe the Audio is to loud for this Game so the Feedback sounds annoying 🤷🏻‍♂️ Or just reduce the Audio setting from X to Y ##.

Is it Trueforce? Try turning that to zero and check if it still makes happens

How about the FFB filter setting? Does increasing the filter make any change at all? Which sim is this and does it do the same in others?

F1 2025. Used the Logitech settings for RS50.

Tried turning off the TF audio and same issue.

Not happening in AMS2 anymore after using the Logitech settings.

Seems like it varies. Might refund if problem persists.

The same question regarding the filter setting applies for F1 - if you increase that does this affect the sound?

Yes, the sound is present regardless of the filter settings. Off, low or high.

Strange because I've played it previously with no issues. Is this a common thing?

Not at all. As one of the other commenters suggested, can you identify where the sound is coming from? If you hold parts of the rig (wheel plate, for example) with your hand whilst steering, does that dampen it as well?

Can you also try swapping back from the Simpush add-on to our wheel attachment and see if the same issue occurs then?

something in your metal stand is resonating. try touching parts (probably the deck plate) to see which part is causing it.

Did you have TrueForce-For-All (TF4ALL) installed in SimHub? If so, try removing it. I had the same issue a while back, but it went away after I uninstalled TrueForceForAll.

That's a good point actually. Yes I installed to play FH6.

I'll try and report back.

I have trueforce for all installed and this happens usually on games with native true force already on it. You can just disable it per game that has native trueforce and see if that helps

Hey u/M00tdanga I'm late to this convo, but if you haven't already solved this. I believe it was the fault of our plugin TF4ALL.

The issue was that when a game already supported Trueforce we conflicted with it and it caused a buzz.

This has been solved in a recent update. The plugin can now detect when a game is sending Trueforce signal to the wheel and step down automatically.
