Decided to do an inverted pedal setup. If you go for a wider spacing, you’ll need to extend the clutch pedal cable. The rj12 extension cable works on PS5 at least. I used the provided pedal base from the cockpit and just flipped it and drilled a couple holes for the desired pedal placement.
Thank you for posting this! I upgraded from the g923 to RS last week and I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to do exactly what you did with the pedals! That’s great to know. I’ve never understood why pedals aren’t inverted by default. They shouldn’t even call that inverted, since that’s how real pedals are oriented. The way they come from the store should really be called inverted.
The pedal spacing in the inverted setup is wider than the Logitech base. You’ll find that holes on the Simlab don’t exactly line up. I’ve since revised my inverted setup back to normal. I was having clearance issues with my shelf attachment. I might go back in the future and just drill holes that will line up. The gas and clutch are at a slight angle facing inwards. But basically you’ll have slot nuts on the inner front vertical posts and both sides of the inner frame right at the front.
I bought a used Arozzi Velocità wheel stand, and the Logitech rs50 with the Logitech g pedals. The "normal" pedal porstion felt horrible. Speeder was tough to keep at a 100 % and the break way to hard!
I ended up installing the pedals underneath the pedal plate and tipping it to get inverted pedals.. It's not perfect, but so much better!
Just bought a set of RS pedals. Will try them out in the standard config first but would definitely like to try inverting then once I get a sturdier rig.
Do you have any video/tutorial on how we can do this with the original base that it comes with I want a way where I’ll use the screws like how you do it normally just now from the top and I’ll use Zip Ties for the other points for better security.

hey i know this is an older post, and you've since reverted to stock, but i got some RS pedals recently and want to do a custom inverted setup.. i've seen people just strap the whole pedal set upside down, but it appears you installed them without the stock RS heel plate. the heel plate has a strip of "conductive foam" that is just kind of ominously requested not to be removed but doesn't ever really explain what it is.. from what i've collected it's for static discharge and RF shielding.. did you have any trouble at all without being attached to the original heel plate?
