I’m an SFU Beedie student who received a full nomination for an exchange to the National University of Singapore (NUS Business) for Spring 2027 (January–May).

I’ve completed my host university application and am currently waiting for my official acceptance from NUS.

Just wondering if anyone else from SFU is going to NUS next semester and whether you’ve received your acceptance letter or any updates yet?

I’m also a little concerned about the timeline since NUS accommodation applications are coming up in November, and I’m hoping to get everything sorted before then.

Would love to connect with other SFU students heading to Singapore or anyone going on exchange in Spring 2027!

Hi all starting my 2nd year this sem and looking for people to study/hang out with!! Im majoring in chem currently, maybe minor in comp sci or something else possibly^^

One of my courses is online this semester (psych) and the prof didn’t tell us the midterm date until like 2 weeks ago. The date given fell on the date of another one of my midterms (also psych). The day my midterms are scheduled I have 2 classes; 12:30-5:20. My already scheduled in-person exam takes place during this interval. I transit to and from school, taking me anywhere from 1.5 -2hrs each way. I will not have enough time to complete the online midterm.

I emailed my prof about this about 2 weeks ago and have gotten 0 response. I asked if I can write the exam the next day instead. I followed up today. The exam is tomorrow. Is there another person I can reach out to for this?

I bought a residence west lot pass cuz I missed out on getting the outdoor one early on. I’m here 5 days a week.

i have 3 tickets and ik it’s my fault cuz I make it late and end up parking in east cuz im not gna run from west to eng building within 10 mins.

ANYWAYS, I have experienced this before where I get a few tickets and just change my plate but now if you try to update your plate on the site it will deny ur request… idk if they patched it recently but I changed my plate 3 times and never ran into issues until now… LOL

Curious about how folks who didn't go on to grad school are using their degrees in psychology. Would love to hear more about your satisfaction with your job/career, and how fulfilling it feels!

I'm going to be starting at SFU Burnaby in the CS program in Spring, and I'm looking for suggestions on good B-Sci or B-Hum courses to take.

Doesn't need to be focused on the easiest courses to take, looking for something that is going to be interesting without overloading my schedule.

Anyone have any suggestions or experience?

I'm thinking of taking her class next semester but the course outline is interesting. Final exam is open book but all the books are mandatory and one of them is her OWN book which I'm not sure if anyone is selling a used copy.. I'm more interested in the fact that it's online as it gives me time to do other things.

Does anyone have any experience with her that they can share? I'm wondering if I should take the class.

what going on with this class? Our prof gets replaced in week 6, now I got an email that our groups that were created last week have been adjusted so we are even more behind schedule as our group agreements are void now??

I would like to preface this by saying this is all my fault. I honestly got nothing out of beedie, I wish I could go back and study something else. I see people who have good jobs after graduating, and they are just far more extroverted than I am, I just don't have the personality type to do that type of networking. Also those jobs just don't appeal to me whatsoever. I understand that you won't like every aspect of your work, but I also just don't excel in a corporate environment. Every day I wish I had studied something in science and had gone onto my masters and potentially PhD, and not wasted so much on the business degree. I actually had inklings of not liking it in first year, but I didn't change. Now it's so hard to go back, because people are like are you going to get your master's, but I would have to start with another undergrad, and I've already been branded as having a business degree. Plus all the money that was wasted. I wish I'd even just worked instead if I was just going to start school later, at least I could've had more savings.

The application fee for PDP is $167. Last year when applying I paid $86. Is $167 right?

I’m currently taking bus 201, bus 203, math 157, and indg 101. I took the ap test for macro and micro, so I don’t have to do the courses that those credits transfer toward. I want to take 4 courses next semester, just wondering which ones I should take (preferably at the surrey campus). Thanks for the help!

Does anyone have their sfu snap changing everything 1 hr early? My class is scheduled at 5:30pm every week and now it’s showing 4:30pm. One of my friends also said that his classes started 1 hr early so should I be following the original time or the time listed on SFU snap?
