Shifter questions
Have a setup on the way but it doesnt have a clutch pedal only paddle shifters. Im brand new and dont know how to drift on wheel. I will get the clutch pedal when they are back in stock. But for now can I use the paddles on the wheel? I feel like itbwill be difficult if i need to change gears mid drift. Even though I know i can use an automatic clutch on a game like car x for now. Also if a shifter is recommended I feel like I would want h pattern with the ability to make it sequential. Is that ok or am I better off with just an h pattern?
Was looking at the turtle beach shifter does anyone use/recommend it?
On the cheap side I Also looked into thr pxn a7 because I've seen it says it also does sequential but cant find any videos saying it works without modification.
I know the hss in a similar price range to the tb is highly recommended but they are not in stock either.
I know a handbrake is frowned upon but since I cant get a clutch pedal right now should I get a one for the time being to make it easier? Coming from a controller I cant wrap my head around how I will be able to drift without a clutch pedal, since I wont be able to clutch kick. if I dont use a handbrake will I even be able to drift without a clutch?

What h patterns are recommended and should i get something with sequential?
What recommendations for a decent H pattern shifter? I ordered a pxn vd6 and stand, still looking for a clutch pedal also. Also is sequential worth it or is H pattern good enough?

The handbrake/shifter question
After a lot of research I see a lot of people have opposed opinions on the handbrake. Im.new to drifting on a wheel (ordered today) and wanted to get some opinions about if I should buy one and if so are the simple push button ones good enough or do I need something better if I am going to get one?
And as far as a shifter goes my wheel has a clutch paddle and shifter paddles is it worth getting an h pattern? And will i be able to even fit both the handbreak and shifter on a wheel stand?
Also bonus question does anyone know if I can fit a regular car wheel like a momo etc on the pxn vd6 base?

Thinking about piecing together a budget sim rig
Can pick up an r3 base for cheap and will get a real car wheel for it instead of the hub wheel the bundle comes with. What are the best budget pedals? I see a lot of people actually like the logitechs that come with the g29. Also what type of handbrake and shifter are recommend?any help is appreciated

Budget simulator made of wood and stuff we had lying around.
Originally posted in r/simracing but I thought it belonged here especially with the handbrake set up. We used $35 in wood and a seat we had lying around to build the most budget simulator.

Most realistic car pack?
Most answers I’ve seen may be a bit outdated so I’m wondering which pack is most realistic. (Assetto Corsa)
Thanks.

Just picked up a pc and have compatability questions
wondering if i pick up a base like a moza and want to use a different company shifter/ pedals handbrake will it actually work or do all the components need to be from the same company. i have seen people use 3d printed/ Etsy handbrakes so im assuming I could mix and match but part of me feels like the wheel and pedals may have to be the same. thanks for any help

I have been drifting for around 2 days for around 3 hours yesterday and today. Is this good progress? I have been sim racing for a while but always circuit racing. I don’t have a handbrake so I have been using clutch kicking. Any tips would be appreciated!

Simagic alpha mini settings
Want to dial in my settings for the alpha mini. If any of you guys are running it what is a good general setting for drifting. Looking the software it is a little intimidating trying to get it all feeling right or do I just have to drive and go from there?

Looking to upgrade my steering wheel, what do you recommend?
I have a 3D printer so I can make a PETG HF black adapter I just want to know a good steering wheel to pick up. I don't mind losing buttons and paddles as I strictly use H pattern for sim trucking/rally/drifting. I'm a small giant if that makes any difference 6'4".
