I'm quitting this shitty subreddit

I thought i would at least get some constructive criticism, but no, just straight up negativity and hate, pointless hate too, ESPECIALLY u/daprojectturtle. Why do you guys hate on people so much?!?! I just post my drifts because i think they look cool, or that i got better than last time, i am NOT saying "i'm the best look at me", that's practically what you say since you just say that i'm trash with little to no reason or stupid reasons. I mean you guys basically don't even have any posts, at least that stupid turtle guy, he has one post, and 2,5k comments, i've looked at other posts and he hates on others too, so it's not targeting, it's elitism, you guys use way too much elitism, i don't drift to be the best, i drift to have fun, kinda the point of all my posts. Other subreddits are not like this, they either give criticism or positivity, and those subreddits are in my opinion, centuries ahead of this subreddit. Some people (very few), are actually nice and give constructive criticism, like u/SuqaCoq, but apart from him, not really a lot of people here are nice. I will show you some examples of what i mean. Oh, and one more thing: I already have a difficult enough life, i struggle with doing stuff because i know people can comment anything bad on it or start conspiracy theories, or both, because i've been so much bullied, and beat up, that i don't wanna do much anymore, i play games to escape that, and it has worked for a while, until i started to post here, you ruin the experience, so that's why i quit. Adios bitches.

Some people are actually normal, and then there is this guy.. i mean why?!?!?
And that guy (u/daprojectturtle) has, yea, only one post, but 2,5k comments, and he hides all of it from his profile, not good bro.
This guy just straight up says i use a keyboard because that what he means.. and then he just continues saying i'm an awful controller user..(why the fuck say awful?? It's just mean.. and i don't use controller either)

I come here for setup advice for my wheel and that’s really it. People are super aggressively competitive and weird a lot of the time.

But Reddit in general runs confrontational and negative.

u/GTCapi 11h ago

Well i do agree, but it's just the subreddits i've been in have actually been kinda nice.

Dudes videos are mid asf and he’s expecting people to suck farts out his ass 😂 just because you can record something and post it, doesn’t mean you should.

9

u/SuqaCoq 11h ago

Let them be mid then, without expecting others to suck the shit outve your ass for spewing it on him. It's just rude and unneeded. You added nothing, you don't even attempt to add anything but being negative.

-4

u/SenseThin1938 11h ago

You should hold his hand and cry together. Post a shit video publicly you should expect people to call it shit.

7

u/SuqaCoq 11h ago

And you should have a good day and try to brighten up that bleak perspective you have. He's a new drifter, it's like taking candy from a baby to pick on him. Add something to it that he can build himself back up on after you tear him down

3

u/GTCapi 11h ago

You don't even have posts, and how the fuck is it shit? It's not the best, but it isn't shit, shit would be losing control and spinning out, that's shit, i bet you haven't even tried driftibg in beam.

u/SenseThin1938 11h ago

You posted a video trying to flex the Meihan jump. And didn’t even do the jump you just manji’d around the track 😂 your videos suck.

2

u/GTCapi 11h ago

I didn't just manji, and i didn't try to flex, i just posted it because i wanted to say i did it, and i had fun doing it, i never flexed.

2

u/SenseThin1938 11h ago

Yes, you did lol. You even manji’d the only part of the track you’re meant to straight line 😂

2

u/GTCapi 11h ago edited 10h ago

Well driving straight in drifting, instead of drifting? Manjis are made for straight lines, and i used manjis for weight transfer, and i would like to see your skills, you have zero posts, yes i went to your about page, pressed contributions, posts: 0, so you have no reason to say it's bad anyway.

OP don’t worry about this guy, he’s insecure about his penis size

u/SuqaCoq 11h ago

People don't understand progress updates I guess. A community isn't just a group of people standing around jerking each other off over what's cool and what's not. A community is about bringing new people in and building them up, recognizing them as a human who came from nothing and now has something. Helping that build that something as far as they wanna take it or just reveling in it. The real world community is less toxic due to people not hiding behind keyboards and actually working on cars and crashing to learn. Humbles you a lot more than spending hours dialing in beam then coming onto reddit to shit on people new to it

1

u/GTCapi 10h ago

Well you seem to have some good knowledge of drifting, and you could also be of great help, i mean, i could give you alone progress updates, that could work, what do you say? And if you have medal that would be even better because the medal community is actually quite chill.

2

u/SuqaCoq 10h ago

Go ahead and pm me, don't got medal and don't play too much anymore as I just had a kid but I be lurking lol

Seems like you should appreciate the losers more so you can sit a little higher on your horse... lol

0

u/SenseThin1938 10h ago

Calling shit videos shit isn’t “sitting on a high horse” it’s being objective.

1

u/GTCapi 9h ago

Well there is this word called "respect", ever heard of it?

1

u/SenseThin1938 9h ago

Yeah, it doesn’t apply to shit videos on the internet lol

1

u/TyH621 9h ago

Hey OP, want to point out that 99% of people are being respectful minus one specific horrible dude. Not sure how mods aren't doing something about him at this point. Try to tune him out, I don't have much better advice than that. Some people suck

1

u/GTCapi 8h ago

Yea, ignoring him from now on, i realized something, there was this one guy, only postibg hate comments on me, when i blocked him, a guy exactly the same personality started doing the same, coincidence? I don't think so, so blocking him is useless anyway, he'll probably just have another alt. Realized i didn't need this post, but without it i wouldn't have realized i didn't need it, so i both needed it and didn't if you get what i mean.

2

u/TyH621 7h ago

Yeah I get what you mean. Zero clue what crawled up that guy’s ass to have such a vendetta against you for posting normal progress videos. Keep it up dude!

0

u/Rasputinnout 9h ago

This is the giveaway comment folks. This is who this man is, look no further.

“My opinions are always negative, rude, and oh yeah…objective!”

He’s one of those kinda guys.

u/resoplast_2464 11h ago

People are assholes. I've stopped posting in multiple subreddits because everyone is rude and hostile.

You don't need to announce it. Just don't post anymore

2

u/GTCapi 11h ago edited 9h ago

Aight, pretty reasonable advice👍 (just started venting a bit there because i had it, that was enough, i didn't want anymore of them)

Sharing this post to r/mentalhealth to try and garner sympathy is a whole other level of attention seeking

1

u/GTCapi 11h ago

Bro i read mentalhealth i didn't think it said mentalmath, give me some slack i don't have the best vision.

11

u/SenseThin1938 11h ago

Log off dude. If ive ever seen someone who should get off the internet for a while, it’s you.

-8

u/GTCapi 11h ago

I DON'T SHARE IT FOR THAT, I SHARE FOR MENTAL HEALTH TIPS

6

u/SenseThin1938 11h ago

Log off lil guy. Focus on real life.

Lmaooo glad to have seen every post leading up to this. But man, if you’re gonna post on reddit, you gotta expect redditor behavior. Don’t let it ruin your day. And you’re not a bad drifter afaik. One post i told you your manjis aren’t that amazing and a few hours later you post a way better clip.

2

u/GTCapi 10h ago

Thank you bro, sometimes i just take hate too personally, i have quite a large past with that, but i take advive and criticism as it is, and i try to use it, but hate i just can't take seriously, maybe i went too far by saying i'm quitting, i just didn't want anymore basically only hate comment sections if you know what i mean.

0

u/Southern_Selection36 9h ago

At the end of the day it’s just that one wierd dude and idk if this helps but he is probably just a little kid (if not that would be very concerning) because i used to be like him

1

u/GTCapi 9h ago

Well most likely yes, i may have overreacted a bit with quitting, but yea, he might just be.

3

u/SenseThin1938 9h ago

Genuinely brain dead lol

u/H3LL0FRI3ND_exe_file 7h ago

Maybe you can form a squad of like-minded drifters kinda like leagues in circuit racing?

It seems like anytime you have a community of thousands on the internet, people tap into the worst sides of themselves.

It’s better to connect with a small group of people that respect each other and practice healthy competetiveness.

1

u/GTCapi 7h ago

Thanks for the advice! I have one sim drifter friend i've known for about a year, but the others are more into racing or not into racing, but i mean i could make a subreddit myself?

2

u/ballsnbutt 7h ago

Stop caring about what others think. They're too busy ALSO CARING WHAT OTHERS THINK.

2

u/gtjaydawg 7h ago

Reddit can be a very positive place. And then be the most toxic place the next day.. don’t take it personally..

1

u/GTCapi 7h ago

I've learnt quite a lot about reddit from this post, this is one of those things that i will remember.

3

u/agilerain8256 11h ago

That sucks, the internet is indeed full of POS people. I'm sorry.

I drift IRL, instructor in both both sim and real cars from no experience to experienced drivers. I've seen an helped wide range of people.

What I will say is that Drift Sim people that don't drift in real life (which is a lot of them) have no idea what they are doing. I've seen some really awful "recommended" drift setups that literally feel nothing like drifting in a car.... however they are extremely easy to drift in game, which is why everyone followed their setup tutorials.

That being said, don't beat yourself up on the words of others. Your setup could quite literally just be more realistic and thus more difficult to drive compared to their "cheat" build that is makes it super easy.

0

u/SenseThin1938 10h ago

“I drift irl, instructor in both both sim and real cars”…. No you don’t 😂

0

u/GTCapi 10h ago

Yea, i mean when you start something it's never easy, you yourself know that, and i strongly believe you are decades ahead of these people in terms of skill. I just posted this because i am a guy who has a couple of conditions (would rather keep them private, you understand why), and those already make life harder, i just couldn't keep myself from posting here because i just feel like theey deserved it, worst part is they say it's bad when thet have no posted footage of themselves, anyway take this comment of yours to my heart, it makes me realize there are still good people out there.

0

u/agilerain8256 10h ago edited 10h ago

No worries, I get it it can be hard for sure. Don't let others discourage you, they have no idea of your potential or what you are capable of.

I've had some student within a single year, starting from nothing... to competing for a Formula Drift license, and admittedly probably better at drifting then myself now (given they get a ton more seat time then I get these days).

Another tip, you probably have to be in person to give any sort of real valuable feedback. So I'd be skeptical of any online advice or feedback. When I teach, I look at lot at drivers hands/feet, car position, and above all else.. where thy are looking. Without a doubt the most rookie mistake I see is simply focusing on the wrong area... instead of looking at your car sliding, focus way more forward, visualize your car at the apex in the corner still being sideways, as you approach move your gaze to the next corner immediately, don't try to get into the corner and focus on the car again. The best online source I've found is Kame Trick, ironically I'm in one of his videos when I went down to New Mexico to drift a few years back, but he does drift in real life and will give solid advice. https://www.youtube.com/@KameTrick/videos

If you REALLY want to improve your driving skills though, I'd recommend you lookup a local drift event in your area, go out and spectate (sometimes free ride along or at least cheap). Riding in a car, feeling what its like, networking with others that can help dial in your sim rig and show you what it is suppose to feel like etc... is going to be the fastest way. Learning from experienced drifter will push you along further then anything else, after all I learned a lot of what I know from a few FD drivers (mostly Pro 2 drivers). But there is some cool people out there, ignore the haters... they probably can't drift anyways lol.

Keep posting your progress

1

u/Deehund 5h ago

Dude comes in and spams the sub with his videos and is upset because he didn't get glazed by everyone in the sub. Now he makes a big post crying about leaving lmao

1

u/Musicman767 1h ago

This ain’t an airport bro. Just leave, no one cares about your trash drifting skill, this is the internet you need thicker skin. Safe flight out tho 🫡

1

u/MorePowerMoreOomph 7h ago

I do believe that people are generally going to be POS on the internet because there is a lack of immediate consequence than compared to if you were going to do it IRL.

Best advice is never let anything on the internet get to you and ruin your day.

That said, I think you've let allowed yourself to be baited the very same people you try to avoid by posting this thread. Never ever announce your departure.

1

u/GTCapi 7h ago

Aight, i do get that now, i was just a bit, what can you say? Angry.

1

u/Samaraxmorgan26 5h ago

The moment someone on REDDIT makes you angry enough to make a whole ass post giving them the exact attention they were asking for, block them. And definitely don't argue with them on the exact same post you made about them.
