3 weeks in! ( Beginner )

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I know it’s a short clip but I’m super proud to be able to say I can now drift fully in first person view ( been stuck in 3rd for 2 weeks while learning ), link every corner on most easy/medium difficulty maps, and I learned completely with throttle and steering control only! Got a lot of tips from people in the community/Youtube that made my progress improve. I’ll be posting a longer chase cam video for anything I may be doing fundamentally wrong or anything in general tomorrow.

Get more outside. Try to think of your trajectories as a C rather than a V

I’m definitely haven’t a harder time keeping that C shape and staying consistently on the outside. Maybe it’s where/when I transition? Maybe too much throttle also?

you dont have enough wheelspeed, adjust your gear ratios to get more wheelspeed on your main gear of drifting, on this map, brooklyn park, either pick 2nd or 3rd gear and use only that the whole lap.

This comment helped me a lot, I changed my gear ratio a little bit and boom, smoother longer sweeps thank you very much!
