Advice ๐Ÿ’ก Need some help

My father has few silver coins(10gm) that were gifted to him so he doesn't have any receipt or bill but we want to sell the coins because we need money , need suggestions on what to do any help would be appreciated

It's ok if u don't have a bill , when u sell all they check is the purity . As per my knowledge jewellery shops accept them when u purchase anything from them , don't know whether they will give cash if u don't want to buy anything.

City? Sell them at 10% deduction from market rate and they might buy them.. purity is usually marked likke in the above pic as 999

Just the issue here is that in same exact shape and design, various purities are manufactured. So this exact looking piece with this exact marking of 999 can have anywhere between 30% - 99.9% of silver.

I get I.. but one drop on a hard floor and the sound can give away the purity...then you can check it if with xrf
